    It's such a coincidence that you did this video because I was thinking about doing a mural for my nephews bedroom and this video helped me with a checklist for the things I would need to have for the job , so thanks Fieldey! Keep it up!

    I bought plastic spoons and cups from paint mixing. Then I use mason jars to preserve the colors from day to day for my big projects.

    I've just been commissioned to do my first wall mural in a residential home for the elderly, I have a vague idea of how to price it up but would be interested in hearing your thoughts on costing a job, only just found you by the way and already think you're awesome!
    thanks for your postings and I have subscribed.
    kindest regards

      Welcome aboard Dan! Thanks for the comment - pricing is always super tricky, for murals I do a day rate as that is the easiest to calculate how long something will take, and also easy for the client to understand.

    Awesome tips! I don't have a mural coming up but I do have a masterpiece in a day coming in September 24th which I'm going to use some spray painting techniques that I've learned from you and some mixed media techniques I've learned on my own. love your videos thank you so much for easy to follow instructions

    • @FieldeyTV
      @FieldeyTV  8 років тому

      Good luck with the masterpiece in a day! I've found sprays are really good for that kind of thing as you can create backgrounds really fast with minimal drying time. Thanks for commenting!

    Really helpful thanks for sharing! :) Are there any special products you use for outside murals to clean the wall beforehand and to varnish it afterwards so it doesn't fade? I'm gonna do my first one soon and not sure if I will need it or not :O

    I live in the United States and I was wondering if you knew how I could order the paints that you use for your murals? In particular how do you prep an outdoor mural wall before you add the white exterior primer? How long do garentee the quality of the outdoor murals of at all? I've only done interior walls but I am going to start working outside and was thinking about trying the paints that you use! Your work is amazing and I love the vibrant colors! Thanks!

    • @FieldeyTV
      @FieldeyTV  7 років тому +1

      Hi Sarah, sorry, I have no idea where you can get these paints in the states, but your best bet is to just switch to using exterior quality house paints - the best you can afford. I haven't needed to prime the walls before I paint them, or I would ask the client to prime the wall beforehand.

    • @FieldeyTV
      @FieldeyTV  7 років тому +1

      This has some info on the brushes I use in particular: ua-cam.com/video/GkhDYLi5pcU/v-deo.html&list=PLE4WDAQwdbUph60pvVxznjXHBHhxdsaDG&index=3 but in general the big brushes are synthetic and I have some really good quality smaller natural hair brushes.

    • @FieldeyTV
      @FieldeyTV  8 років тому +1

      Oh yeah, there are so many to choose from! I'm not sure I'd recommend mine, it's an older one and it's pretty low res, so when you project from far away you're looking at giant pixels projected on the wall. I'd probably be more inclined to choose a smaller, more powerful model that doesn't need an external power source.
