- The Origami Killer has taken a new victim. In a terrorized city, the hunt for a child will lead four unconnected people to ask the same question; how far will you go for love?
The story of Heavy Rain can go many ways and this is how it turned out for me, there are several different endings but I deliberately chose this one because I thought it was fitting although some may not agree, regardless there are other endings on UA-cam and other ways the story can play out so you should check them out if you want to see everything that this game has to offer!

I'd still think he would have run if there wasn't any balloon, it only helped Ethan identify his son among a large crowd.

A lot of you have mentioned in their comments, how great is the music of this video game. The composer is Normand Corbeil and he passed away last year.

The composer is the guy who did the Last Samurai soundtrack I am pretty sure- listen to the dramatic theme part and compare it to The Last Samurai them

i played this once on my friend's console and fell in love with the concept of the game. I love the music, graphics and complexity of the storyline. unfortunately since I'm not a gamer I haven't been able to play it, but this is the next best thing, so thank you so much for making this!

I am about 40 mins into this, and I have to say, this is a great edit of the game into a movie!
to see one of my favorite video games into a 'movie' like this...I don't know what to say. this just absolutely amazing omigosh. everything is perfect. plus the way you put the mall scene after ethan's blackout goes perfect too. this is great. way to go turtle 10/10

C'est la première fois que je vois un film tiré du playing d'un jeu. Dans les premières secondes, j'ai pensé à zapper sur une autre vidéo parce que je me suis dit "quel intérêt ?" Et puis je n'ai pas pu décrocher jusqu'à la fin. C'est extraordinaire ! J'ai même versé quelques larmes d'émotion.

Am I the only person troubled by Ethan's getting laid while his son is slowly drowning? The writers appear to have ditched all priorities in order to shove the romance angle.
I know! I have chosen to not kiss Ethan as Madison in all of the gameplays I've done, because I find it outright ridiculous :/ He has only a few hours to find his son alive, he just killed a man, and the game gives you the option to bone?? I actually laughed, (and only found out recently that they actually did, indeed, have sex. I literally thought it was just a kiss, good thing I didnt chose it anyways)

In a situation like that peoples mental processes are to say the least deteriorated to the point of irrational conscious thinking. That kind of sex really isn't passionate as much as it is an escape from reality for a brief time, which they desperately needed in that movie plot.
This is just the best game ever! The ending was sad yet perfect! I have played the game and always wanted a movie or book to come out about it! It seems you have answered my call. This was absolutely amazing and you got the right ending! This was incredible!
Heavy Rain is just one of those games that you want to play over and over again just to see how the game would go if you chose another option. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who are too lazy to do that. Good thing we have UA-cam. Thanks, TheDepressedTurtle! Now I know what happens if I pick the other option.

I hate the ending...I'm not saying I love happy endings, but it didn't hurt to at least not have Ethan die. But overall, amazing video game. Still didn't want Ethan to die...he gave everything to save his son and after already losing one, his son did not have to witness him die like that. =/ But I know, this is one out of like 17 possible endings.

Wow it was amazing I watched the whole thing! It really felt like a proper film I loved watching it, it was very entertaining. It must have been really hard putting it all together but it really paid off it's a brilliant piece of work and I think you should continue editing you sure have a knack for it!
Quantic Dream is the best, having the gameplay as if your watching a movie. The way you edited this is just totally awesome.
I can imagine this as a real movie. Anne Hathaway would play Madison, John goodman would play Scott, Joseph Gordon levitt could play Norman, and not sure who could play Ethan but I was thinking someone like brad Pitt
+Nick Gazdacka Mark Harmon would be a good Norman, if he is a little old.
I would vouch for David Duchovny as Norman Jayden myself, even if he is a little older now.
I know this could moment is three years old now, but I was thinking Ryan Gosling

This game is so god darn fricking tear jerkingly depressing game. And that ending where Ethan gets shot by the police at the end just breaks me. Absolutely breaks me

Great editing, I would of trimmed the scene with her walking to the car as him leading her off, camera fades out, next scene trimmed to where Shaun says "never leave me alone again dad" fade to the girl in the cop car with Ethan saying I wont, next scene would be a shot of him opening the gate, the son saying I love you dad, as the cop said 'fire!' As you know, saying one thing with editing, and seeing it, after hours of trimming.
These must take a while to make, weeks I'm guessing, with 3-4 hours editing a night.
Great balance and tone, whilst keeping the story intact ( other than a few choices I wouldn't of made ;) ) great work, as a fellow editor, "I salute you sir" I'm saying in my posh English voice.
I mean seeing it after working it in, if it don't work it's potentially hours of work wasted.
Thanks, appreciate the comment. I can see that working and it wouldn't be too difficult to edit either. Since this was my first edit, there's a lot of imperfections and things I'd do differently now. Also, these actually don't take too long to edit. Since this was my first again, it took longer than it would take now. If I recall correctly, I spent about a week editing this while editing for around 8 hours or more a day.
You done a great job editing this, plz don't think it was a cuss, because unless someone has tried to edit, they will know how hard it is... Brilliantly done mate.
You did a great job on this man including at 20:20 with the transitions and everything pealed together just right :) Apparently they are making an actual movie ,but I think there will be an actor(s) that end up just making it bad or so though. But I hope it is at least some what good. It's a story that keeps you on your feet. Great job again man xD
when I saw the depressing endings of this game, it really hurt me. I am so glad I got the happy end when I played it, and I will never play this again :D

To be honest, this is KIND OF AMAZING. People are allowed to like what they like, but the way you did this really brings out the best in this game for me! It's gritty and real and there's no comedic relief to be had. I really like it.

When I played it Eathen Mars lived but was arrested, then he was let go because he wasn't the origami killer.
Then watch his counterpart, "Cry" I believe his name is.
He makes sad games sadder and funny games into deep thought provoking metaphors.
Plus having a voice that feels something I should pay for to hear does not hurt the experience at all.

I adore how you put this all together, how you used two scenes or more two help descibe the story in a more understandable matter, it was great and I have a slight obsession with Heavy Rain yet I've never played it before, I can't wait to get the game and start! :D

That was very beautifully done, though I am a bit disappointed you left out a few of the Madison chapters. I don't blame you though, it's already very lengthy without them... And I loved the ending you got with it.

I'm impressed! This is very well edited! A little upset by the ending, but hey, they can't always be happy, right?
It was my first video so I look back on it and think about how much better I could have done it, but still thank you. I thought the sad ending suited the game so I picked it as opposed to the "everyone lives happily ever after" one.
This shoulda won Best Editing.
IMO ,I think the 2 years ago part should be placed in front just like in the game. Well for me personally , the sudden transition from the light and happy tone to the sad and gloomy tone was emotional. I mean showing how a perfect and happy family changed into a broken one made a larger impact on the audience(or for me at least)as compared to showing it broken immediately , before showing the flashback , and jumping back again. Well that's just my own honest opinion , great video nonetheless! :)

I really liked the game and, really, I like these kind of games because there just heartbreaking and so depressing and because of them I want to cry (and I kinda like to cry) so yeah, nice work Quantic Dream, nice work Europe, well I mean they had some help from the Americans (obviously) BUT they wrote the script, soo yeah...

It was funny when Madison was staring at Ethan through the door, then Norman shouts "no way he's escaping, I'm goinna get that bastard" you could think of it either as Norman or Madison xD
This was pretty cool, in my opinion I dont like how you chose the Ethan mars ending, but having that ending made the "movie" having a heartless ending man.
The mom would be ready for a rubber room and a straightjacket, unless she's making money off the insurance policies.

Beautifully edited, and i agree that a hollywood ending wouldnt fit a game like heavy rain.
I love how when people argue and attempt to make a point I end up laughing at them for how much they suck at English and grammar. Note to people who want to be taken seriously: Don't make me laugh at the simple mistakes you make. By the way DTD love the ending you chose, it fits quite well. It gives the game even more emotion and depth.

Please do make them! I actually saw these two games on IGN's list of top games of 2013. I think Beyond Two Souls mentioned heavy rain and I remembered that it was supposedly very good. I saw the Uncharted movies on UA-cam so I thought this would be here too!
