Hey! Today I will be showing you how to achieve the perfect afro on kinky, type 4 hair. This video is an update to the afro tutorial posted previously on my channel. My first afro tutorial was not as detailed so I hope this step by step afro tutorial is more helpful. My long 4c hair shrinks up quite a bit so an afro is easy to achieve. Beautiful! I've been seriously debating whether or not I should get one of those q redew steamers. How long have you had yours? I've seen reviews saying they break after a few uses.

New subbie.... Wondering, does your afro keep shape during summer months? If so, do you use or do anything special to keep it from reverting?
Hey Anika!! I appreciate your support :) My afro keeps its shape for the most part but I lightly spritz my hair with water to keep it moisturized so it does shrink overtime. I don’t mind the shrinkage but pineappling at night keeps it stretched longer. I hope this helps :)

Hey Elizabeth! I only used water to stretch my hair but Camille Rose almond jai twisting butter was left over in my hair from an old twist out prior to stretching. The product is linked in my Amazon store in the description box. Thanks for watching💕💕

i wish my hair was long enough so it can look like this. i big chopped at the end of may 2020 and- it looks okay, but like- PLS. how would you do it like after you wash??

You don’t have to. It just helps me keep my hair sectioned off 🙂
