Thank You Mark! The speed gun tells how deceptive the speed of the trains can be, They all look like they are going faster than they are actually traveling. Keep up the good work.
My son is 27 and getting into the photography hobby. We went to shoot trains on Saturday. We stopped at the depot then the loop. He got some great pictures. Ended at Steampunk Cafe.
@MarkClayMcGowan We had a great time and we asked for you at the depot. He saw the old pictures at the depot and that's why he's getting into photography. Documentaring history.
Since they run the same in forward or reverse, as long as the point unit is facing forward, they just build a consist however the units are pointing in the yards. Thanks for checking it out!
Thumbs up Mark for being a gracious host out there at Tehachapi. 👏 Bravo!

Good to hear there are younger folks keeping up with it!
Thanks for being a guide and gracious host. Golf? Yes. Golf!
Stay tuned for a video I did during our annual coast tournament! When there are no trains, I have to video something so I can write off the trip!
Not any more corny than me going to the airport just to watch the planes land and takeoff.
What airport?
There's nothing corny about any aspect of aviation!

Another nice video Mark. You caught that pesky UP 6932 with it's new paint in the lead again! Cheers, Stephen.
They're putting it to work, for sure!
Mark, when did Kern JCT get all of its CTC & dual control switches?
I'm sure of the exact date, but around 1940, if I'm not mistaken, which I may very well be!
Awesome Possum Brother 😊🙏🇺🇸
That looked like fire retardant on that covered hopper.....wonder if it was near a fire?
Sure didn't take long for the grass to turn brown. But it was a cool spring and June. Looks like July finally might make up for it.
Yup. We are leaving town for Santa Cruz in about an hour! Stay tuned for a video about the Beach Train!
You make great videos wow. They do look like model trains on UA-cam. I model UP butt the BNSF locos in that area are nice looking with the scenrey

Two days ago: Amtrak train derails inside tunnel near DC's Union Station
Too bad I couldn't get out there! LOL. I understand there was an Amtrak on the ground in Florida as well.
Hey, Mark. Did you hear anything about the stolen cars and stuff taken from the equipment they were using to clean up the derailment? Thanks Robert
I did a video about it! Here is the link.

Question. Why aren’t the engines all facing the same direction? Is there a reason some are facing backwards?
