Fun to watch you sketch mountains! I did inspire me to paint and draw Mt Rainier and our Cascade mountains. I have a huge backlog of photos for painting- maybe will start with some drawings- thanks, keep posting more!
@@milesgoby Watch out though it can be an addiction- I have bought about 6 now I think. I keep them in my wood shop, my water color kit, my sketching bag... I probably need some for my van ;) Just found this website with some sweet ones! www.draftingsuppliesdew.com/koh-i-noor-5611-technigraphic-lead-holder?feed=Froogle&gclid=Cj0KCQjwu7OIBhCsARIsALxCUaMXhWsc5mVCyt2vfFlJlOhe1gnSg_TfV3ZXszMuaUqpRgktmJiw6EUaAlx5EALw_wcB

That is awesome Elisabeth - drawing is such a great way to prep for a painting. I am glad you got inspired to pick up the pencil and get after it :)
Thank you for sharing your process!! Very helpful for a novice painter like myself.
Thank you! I am really glad to hear it helps.
Awesome, thanks for sharing! I never knew about the lead holders, traditional pencils drive me crazy having to constantly sharpen the wood.
Oh man! Emma they are a game-changer! I recommend buying a few of them and different packs of lead. It is a whole new world :)
@@KennethYarus ordered them on Amazon last night 😅 Thanks for the links!

Do you sketch most of your studio paintings? Or just for larger paintings.
I don't always do full drawings, but for the large pieces I usually work out most of the elements first.
I think you don't need the music background
