Do you have trouble with these 6 hands? Also, here are the 6 bad plays you will NEVER see a good poker player make: ua-cam.com/video/uy_3L7tHg0s/v-deo.html

I agree, Nathan. Too many poker players over-value top pair, two-pair, and even sets.

I would add AQ to this list, I swear I´ve lost so many huge hands to AK or smaller pocket pairs. Here in Mexico we call it "la pierde ranchos" (the hand that loses the ranch) because it´s often destroyed in big pots.

      @Adam-dy5cn Рік тому +7

La pierde Ranchos is going in my hand name repertoire. Kinda like AK is Anna Kournikova, looks gorgeous, but doesn't win as much as you think it does.

Shouldn't lose that much to AK unless you're dumb enough to keep shoving with AQ. If you're losing that much to kicker problems, you're playing top pair waaay too aggressively in the first place.

    I struggle playing A-6,7,8 and 9 suited.
Especially when you hit middle pair with the 6789.
I find A-2,3,4, and 5 suited easier to play.

I try and slow pay those hands. I often on a competitive table fold these before preflop.

can you explain to me, at13:50
    in hand
    Jack pocket pair
    on the table
    9s
    9h
    6d
    You're talking about 2 outs.
I calculate 3 outs in turn and river
namely chance 4 of a kind and full house.
Do you calculate the outs per draw?
    Thanks Nathan

I have played roughly 100 friendly tables, and JJs have won HUGE for me. I'm not winning every pot I enter with JJ, but when I lose, I lose small, when I win, I win BIG. JJs is my favorite hand, outside of the mathematical favorites of course.

The problem i am having is decoding weather to FOLD Same suited card with a A,K,Q and a low card such as 3,4, etc. USUAlly i fold, but i see opportunities for flushes. Flushes may be won with low cards.

This is why you need to learn to calculate pot odds, implied odds, and the probability of drawing a flush.

I am seeing some mistakes I am making. And some I control. I usually always drop low pairs if I am not in position. Today I lost a JJ against and A and a river A.
I normally don't keep lone high cards, or low same suit. I fold a lot. I mostly keep with and A K,Q,J, and sometimes 10.
I don't play any low pairs. Usually 8 and up.
I am going to study this a few times. I have been raising much more preflop. I am making more chips that way. Sometimes I am too cautious...good bluffers still get me but also I bust many of these now! 😂

I’m headed up to a casino now. I’ve been watching your videos. My main problem is I play too many hands. I’m talking 80%. Cause I hate folding say 47 and then the flop has 56 or two 4s or something.
So i basically call preflop then fold post flop all day. I win when I hit the flop but after a few hours of $5 or $10 call/folds I bleed out all my chips

Hey Nathan. On the JTs hand, you shared that you'd have 21 outs with the flop. Do you believe in the "Too many outs" syndrome a lot of the online pros believe in? Scott Seiver, in particular, has talked about this often...
