Hi Ian, You make some great points, it’s a huge subject isn’t it. I think with compromise & research we all get there in the end. 😁 I’m sure your video & the others in the collab will help others. Em 💜
Good list, we agree layout is the number 1.We were lucky and got it right first time so repeated it on our next 2 vans. You always have to compromise on something and ours was size as to get everything we wanted it was big and over 3,500 kgs, but we are old so OK on the licence. Good video. We would be happy to take part in any future collaborations if the group are short of anyone. We are subscribed to you all. Alan and Sha Motoringmasons
I could have easily trebled the length of the video as I had so many more suggestions. Antonia is loving it but I think she can't wait get get back home now. 😀
Having had a campervan, we knew what we wanted when we decided to get a moho, fixed bed, good sized fridge, decent sized cooker and storage. Great work Ian. Good things to consider for those thinking of buying a moho.
Yes, initially having the campervan gave you time to work out what works and what doesn't. Your current motorhome is a good example of how well a motorhome can match someone's needs. x
The idea of a drop-down bed is tempting; however, the weight limit of the bed's occupants is prohibitive. It also eats space where a light introducing skylight may have been fitted (but you can put a monstrous PV panel above the bed). Number five is food for thought.
Funnily enough our first motorhome had a dropdown bed which we thought was a good idea at the time but still ended up changing to something different. Our current motorhome is about as close to our perfect motorhome as is practical based on our budget.
We started off with Caravans (2 of them) then moved on to a motorhome. By then we knew Motorhomes were the way to go but soon realised the one we had was not ideal. We now have a Bailey Autograph 79-4T and it's about as perfect as I think will will ever find for our budget.

Good summary of different layouts there. Hope Antonia is having a great time on her trip!

I enjoyed that, you should consider a job as Motorhome consultant.
Thank you. I was a shame you did not feel able to join in this month. We missed your input.
Nice video Ian. Lots of things to think about. Interesting and thought provoking. 👍🏻🚐😃 Trev
