This is a Business Mathematics Class (Busn Math 135) taught by Mike excelisfun Girvin at Highline Community College.
In this video learn how to calculate:
1. Markup and Markdown Calculations in Excel

$130,345.60/$179,208.00 = 0.272657470648632
which might mean something like that the 30% in cell had Number Formatting to hide the real number. But I cannot be sure what is causing the problem.
When I run the formula with 30% or 0.3 I get:
$179,208.00*(1-0.3) = $125,445.60
Probably just a problem with the formula inputs?
To go back up you must use the formula:
$125,445.60+$179,208.00*0.3 = $179,208.00
The percentages going down or up and not the same.
