A memorable day for my wife as she fulfilled a dream feeding one of the big cats at Bristol Zoo. Thanks to all who do such wonderful work with these animals.
Late I know but I think it’s for health check purposes (as they won’t sedate an animal unless it’s absolutely needed as some animals can’t handle sedation). Also I doubt it’s done everyday like this (they’ll probably do large feeds).

Kamran & Ketan's grandfather was sent from Sakkabaug Zoo, Gujarat. Asiatics grow full mane in cold... They retain these genes from their Iranian ancestors.
Give them big slabs of meat. Why tiny little treats? These are lions not house cats. Throw them a whole pig or deer or half a cow. It’s like putting a grown man in a high chair and spoon feeding him. Just looks degrading
