Best series on UA-cam! I don't even know if you can imagine how helpful you are to new producers like myself. Genuinely, whatever amount you think it is go ahead and mutiply it by at least 10. The pacing is just so perfect. The way you can explain and apply techniques without dragging the video on and/or leaving out info is second to none. Wish your channel the best 2024 year possible bro!
i’ve also noticed with the suspended 4 chords if you leave that 4 where it is and then take that top note and raise it up by one if that makes any sense, that could also sound pretty dope, fire video can’t wait for the 2099 melody tutorial 🔥
Extremely helpful! I've seen the tip about skipping the keys by one but it has never been explained this well before. You get straight to the point and actually show how to BUILD the melody.
Bro you don't even know how many videos out there that pop up when you search "RnB music theory" I had to skim through, because they didn't give me what I wanted. Great input again. Keep these tutorials as majestic as those cheekbones 👑
Appreciate you!🔥 got a bunch of these type videos for melodies! I'll link you the playlist rn. Thanks for watching! ua-cam.com/play/PLlbqTcORp41_P7xJsZ33hSS_ItSzc7buC.html
I would say this video, is one of the best English speaking tutorials on UA-cam.... Great work. I am still struggling with creating melodies. That could help me alot.
That was one of the best melody tutorial videos I've seen, especially with a brief added insight on music theory at the right moments. I'm about to check out your other melody video you mentioned. Very impressive. Keep up the way you break it down. Also, what piano instrument plugin did you use? It had a very universal dramatic feel.
Dope tutorial. I'm taking a music theory class and this helped put everything into perspective. I actually understood all of the terms you were using when building the different chords and genres.
Dope! I think people are underestimating velocity and off grid keys too much, perfect "playing" doesn't exist and that's something we should consider melodies with keys or piano. Not saying that if you purposely want to you sure can quantize it.
Practice and study. Lots of time just messing around, been making beats for 10 years haha. Always had a midi keyboard and would make myself play it when producing
You can layer 2 sources, but for example let’s say you used pigments as one of the sound source VST’s. Inside pigments you have 2 engines plus a utility engine. So technically more than 2 haha! Depending which VST’s you choose from V collection

10:20 we need that whole another tutorial 🥺
actually i guess many people need music theory tutorials cause most of upcoming producers struggle with melodies more than with drums
thanks you helped me for real, what grid you use for this please ? 1/4 beat ?
where'd you learn music theory? and links? i remember watching one of your old tutorials and you said you learned music theory awhile back
Random UA-cam tutorials, random articles and google. I would just google things I didn’t understand and take it slow. Learning little by little.
🐲Happy New Year🐉
Happy new year!
❤❤
Hey bro 😎✌️ maybe you can make a boom bap melody😎 such a little challenge😎😁😁 peace ✌️
how'd you learn to plays the keys so good?
Practice and study. Lots of time just messing around, been making beats for 10 years haha. Always had a midi keyboard and would make myself play it when producing
when making pain melodies... is it always better to add lower notes on the first 4 bars and then go up for the rest of them?
what app is that?
Man you teach secondary dominance too? Lol you give away all the codes.
😂😂
can do nemmz type next
I hope you reply to this but ive play some melodies with my midi keyboard and when i go to hadd my drums is like off timing
