Amazing series! I started it thinking it would be just some regular love story drama with subpar acting. The actors really surprised me here. Now it’s one of my favorite that I’ve watched 😂 the pool scene made me really feel bad for her, and after he decides to stop talking to her, you can see how bad in pain he is 😢 I can’t wait for season 2!!

Agree, absolutely insane chemistry, great casting. Both the leads played their characters to perfection, him especially. How he went from arrogant a***hole to out of his mind crazy in love but had to let it go because he loved her so much, you believed every second of it. The angst, the devastation. Also his reaction in the final scenes, knowing the last words to his mother were angry ones. Fantastic acting.

Anyone But You....they don't start off as enemies though. It's a movie. To be honest, I don't really know a series like this and I'm of the older crowd and have watched many romance series and films. Also a figure skating movie called The Cutting Edge with Moira Kelly and D.B. Sweeney. It's an American classic, but it's not a series. I can't really think of an American series that is like Maxton Hall. There is Gossip Girl but Chuck and Blair just annoy each other but they are not really enemies. There is a Korean series called Personal Taste and it's a really good Korean series, but the characters aren't really enemies either, however the guy really finds the girl annoying in the beginning. I would say Maxton Hall is unique, beautifully written, excellent actors and beautiful cast, just a very beautiful story.

Sorry, but what drives me crazy is the story being by a German author and the story being set in England and the series being recorded in German 😵😫🫠😂That's what I call a globalized story, but I loved it anyway, even though it made my brain rack.

A lot of books by German authors are actally set in English-speaking counries, such as America or Great Britain. I think it's better this way and less cringe but you are right, it weird that they speak German when they're supposedly British.
