I have a 2006 dodge sprinter. Its a wheelchair van and really important to us because it has a ceiling track installed in it. Because of the tracking I can use a portable lift to lift my adult daughter out of her wheelchair, roll her across to a bench bed in the back and allow her to rest and take care of various needs. A couple of yrs ago I received a notification in the mail that the van needed an upgrade (?). I had been out of work for nearly 2 yrs at the time and it had an engine light on when I had the upgrade notification...but it had normal power. I didn't have the money to get information diagnostics but we also didn't drive much because we didn't have any money... Anyway I decided to take it for the upgrade that was supposed to be about 30 mins. I hoped it might take care of the engine light. We arrived at 1 and did not get our van back until closing at which time the person that drove it into the bay for us said its not very peppy. I had no idea why he would say that because the van has always been very responsive to the fuel peddle (gas peddle) Any way, when we got on the highway driving back to our town we had absolutely no pickup. It was like there was no turbo. In town I did not notice a problem. Long story shortened, I had it to 3 engine rebuild places and the fourth one rebuilt my engine. 20,000.00$ and a full 9 months later I took my van home after so much BS I couldn't stand it anymore. I now have an engine that is considered to be remanufactured now. Soooo...I still have an engine light on, it stinks, has some light smoke, has had a new turbo, new injectors....has had the catalytic convertor removed and no power past 100-110 kms. I can't give up now. I had decided to have this work done because I figured this van would get us through the remaining of my driving years. We could go anywhere with the features this wheelchair van has. (I had planned to have it painted to go along with the new engine but the quote was 12,000.00 in the beginning. If I can get it running tip top I may still do that but.... A new van with this type of equipment is very expensive. Any thoughts as to why we do not have power to pass anyone or why it still stinks inside and out?
Yes, I believe you have Лалка Compression, and possibly your losing it, at one of the fuel injectors, that’s why it stinks and that’s why it has no power, also, you could have bought a brand new engine for $7,500 from Mercedes, it’s remanufactured to new condition, I am not sure why you payed $20,000 for an engine rebuild, I also don’t believe they actually did the rebuild, sounds like you came in with a problem, got it rebuilt and the problem is still there

It was supposed to be 12,000.00 (Canadian) to begin with and that was to include injectors and possibly a turbo. Its such a long story...took to rebuilder, they sent to someone to take engine out. That shop closed down (or the mechanic quit or was fired (found this out much later on) then it was towed in pieces to a young guy in a different town (which I didn't know about...) by this time I was 5000.00 into it for parts.... and on and on...Needed new core after parts were old to be ordered I realized very quickly that this was a bad place to have it but I was about 3 hours away from the place with a van in pieces and very limited transportation. What is _________ compression? Is this something I can fix myself? do you have a video to show how to fix this particular problem?
Oh for the days of Holley carburators except diesel engines don't have those right? But I've worked on a lot of carburetors in my younger days on cars. Thanks for the step-by-step on how fuel injectors work!
Your welcome 🙏 that’s Amazing that you know about carburators, I don’t know much about them, but I did have 1965 Ford Mustang back in the day and it had a carburetor, I think back in the days engines were allot easier to work on, and now mechanics need to know computers just to diagnose the cars 😉
You repeat 4 or 5 times how important it is to “correctly install the washer” on fuel injectors - but you never actually explain how to identify the differences on the washer , and how it has to be oriented on the fuel injector. Clear close-up photos of the washer and how it is correctly installed on the fuel injector would be very helpful....
I see, well I have a video that I show it up close, I made a while ago, but in that video I did not show that the diesel is spraying at the washer side as well, and this is critical because, if the washer is installed the wrong way, then the diesel will get passed the washer and then cause Black Death

Hello serch, I have a 2005 dodge sprinter, in the morning's I turn the engine on after a second or two it shouts off, it does it several times, but when I just tap the pedal and it stays on. (engine) I have installed new high pressure pump, the 2 sensors on the fuel rail, new fuel filter, I guess I'll go ahead and install new in tank fuel pump. Any suggestions. Thanks
Fuel pump in fuel tank is a good idea, but you can test the flow just by removing one of the hoses from fuel filter, but based on what your telling me, it looks like you got 1 or more bad fuel injectors especially if the van smokes black smoke, you can do a simple injector fuel down flow test with this kit on Amazon right now it’s cheep and a must have if you have a sprinter Diesel Injector Flow Diagnostic Cylinder Common Rail Adaptor Test Tool Kit amzn.to/2UIyNoy

I said how in the video, but easy way to tell is, put washer on the fuel injector and see if it seals properly and when injector facing down, you should see a little curve pointing down 👛 imagine that this is a washer and your installing injector, the washer should be curved like that picture
badly seated washers causes the cylinder pressure to push diesel up the side of the injector and makes a right mess. considering how many have this issue, i think mercedes had a large bad batch of washers and customers are paying the price.

Man! can you ever go straight to the point I think everyone will appreciate if you simplify your explanation and personally I think it will really benefit yourself saving time for different videos hopefully don't take it the wrong way but sometimes even you have noticed you are just going in circles while explaining a subject tank's for the videos keep improving
