The mum will regret it when one day her daughter ignores her completely when she's really a grown up. she's14. she is not grown and she is obviously showing signs of neglect. the mother states that she finds the daughter "disgusting" not only because she is supposedly grown but "as you can see her younger siblings are prettier." if it is of the norm for korean adults to find their children "disgusting" then i must have been shown a very different side of korean family life through media. also, to my knowledge the word translates to "cringey" or something along those lines but i still don't find the mother's statement excusable simply because of how she talks down her daughter the entire time.

That last mother is doing the most too. It takes little to no effort to show some affection towards your daughter. When she does a good job, say she did a good job. When she says she's home from school, don't tell her to stop announcing her presence as if it's burdensome. Encourage her and praise her accomplishments in school and don't turn every positive into something mediocre. Gosh, these guests were all out of it today.
The 2nd concern made me want to claw my eyes out. I wanted to get inside the screen and hug the mother. She already did her part in raising her children, her daughter is grown and should have enough sense to raise her own children. This episode made my blood pressure go up, I swear.
I cry whenever I watch these things, and I especially cried during the young girl's concern. I have similar parents who aren't the type to say positive and kind things. As a child all you really look forward to is your parents being proud of you and of your achievements, but because they scold every time so my self esteem and motivation degrades. I don't know what it is yet to fully be a parent, but I want to give my future child all of my love no matter what.
Actually, the last girl she's really pretty and smart! I cant believe that she still being able to get a lot of awards and study hards and also do all the house works even her parents ignore her like this! I think if it was me i would run away from my house already >

It seems like marrying its a must, even if you don't won't. In some programs I saw people telling, I'm going to marry in 2 years or in 5 when they don't even have a partner yet. I guess it's a cultural thing.

As much as the second concern pissed me off, I'm glad that one of the guys scolded the mother too. She's letting the daughter take advantage of her, at some point you have to take responsibility for how you allow others to treat you. i cried in the Last Concern. Parents like that are truly disgusting. I felt so bad for her and i just wanted to adopt her myself. What kind of parent says that their child is disgusting and old and doesn't acknowledge the various awards and results she got. if i were her i would have gave up a long time ago.
I thought that the first concern would have won.. I'm a guy.. And I used to date a girl who would always scold me, hit me, kick me, spit on me, and order me around.. It might seem like a small matter to certain people, but it actually hurts a lot.. While you're trying to protect your relationship, the other person can freely hurt you anytime that she wants.. I couldn't stop crying from the last concern. Nothing feels sincere from her parents, i hope when she becomes older she grows up to become a strong independent woman but also someone who knows how to form bonds..through what she goes through with her parents, honestly i feel like it's neglect. The last concern was really upsetting. I'm also the eldest in the family and i have two younger brothers so its pretty hard taking all the responsibility. I don't believe that even if shes grown up they don't show affection anymore. Paying a compliment to your child when they do well at school won't make them weak or arrogant. Had my parents complimented me, I would have made an effort in school. But they only made unreasonable demands that I couldn't meet. Then they were angry when I didn't meet them. There was never a "you tried your hardest, good job." OMG my mom is exactlyyy like that! I'm the oldest of the 4 and when i was younger I had the same problem. (currently 21) If i say 'ooh you're home from work how was it?' she doesnt even reply. (currently) if i would tell her i got 100% on a test she would say that's normal everything needs to be 100%. If i had cleaned the house and she would come home she wouldn't say a thing and i will say 'doesn't the house look clean' she would just say 'that needs to be done every day.' And if you won't praise me I won't do it again. But when my lil sister(14years) comes home 'ooh you are home?' when my lil brother (10years)comes home she would be cheery, feed him etc. when my other lil brother (16years) comes home she would nag first and later ask him to eat. Only when i go out or when she needs something or if i dont come out of my room for a few days she will talk. Like are u fricking kidding me!!! I have a proffesional relationship with my mom 😂 But that girl has it harder then i had, my dad is totally the opposite of my mom. If one of the two are like that it is still possible to be happy. Just like the girl from the third concern... I was discriminated a lot by my mum, my parents separated when I was about 2years old, she showed( and still shows up until now) her preference towards my younger brother. I love my younger brother. I should love my mum too. I live alone now but whenever I visit and go to my mums house I just want to leave and I don't feel happy at all because... we can never get used to bad things. My mum sacrificed a lot for my brother and I to have a good life but she made me feel that all her sufferings were because of me... Actually,No, she didn't made me feel that way but told me so. I've always been the top student ever since I was a kid until high school but in high school I realized that however we want someone to love us, we can't force ones feelings. That is why I gave up on everything; on my studies, my social life... I had no self confidence, I started gaining weight and acne but there was no one besides me, I was alone. I am alone. It hurts. Because of this, I'm scared of having more than 1 child if I'll get married. I'm scared to be in a relationship because my mum says I'm hard to live with. You see, when I was a kid I always give my mum letters, I craved for attention so much. But now, I don't give her letters anymore, I'm not confident enough to tell her "Mama I love you"... I can't.... so instead I buy her gifts, loads of gifts but ofcourse my brother gives her gifts too... for instance, last Christmas I gave her a wallet, I saved up for that wallet cause I know she'd only like it if it was a (known)branded one but my brother gave her an expensive necklace, my mum literally, without exagération, threw the wallet and never cared about it all. I just laughed it off cause what can I do. When she tells me she cares for me or loves me, I dont believe her at all and it hurts me. When the guy in the first concern said that he and his girlfriend are four years apart, I actually thought that she is 4 years older than him..until I read the comments. Omg that poor 14 year old, I literally started crying at the moms excuse for not wanting to hug her child. Im 23 and have two older brothers but my parents treat us all the same, and we still get hugs from them. Someone take this poor child away and give her some love. As for the little sister, I dont mean to rude as she is only 6 but im sorry I can't stand her attitude. The way she acts, you can tell the parents spoil her. Im glad she gets some love from the grandmada though. If the parents continue treating their eldest daughter like this, the girl will either end up with some inferiority complex.

I think the mother from the second concern(her husband as well) should reflect on their behaviour and hopefully realise that they shouldn't depend fully on mother's help 'cause she ain't gonna be there forever. I seriously pity the mother, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that after all she'd done. The daughter could at least give her allowance for all the things that her mother did for her as a token of appreciation. The things that good parents did to raise their child(ren) well, their efforts and sacrifice is priceless. The daughter isn't even facing a huge crisis. I really wanted to tell her about my mother who faced greater challenge than her. My mother, being a foreigner, was discriminated by my father's family. When she had me, the first child, my dad wasn't beside her. He was taking his Master's degree. Throughout her pregnency, she kept hearing hurtful comments such as,"since her people working here are maids, do you think her child would follow after her?" etc. She kept going back and forth(during her first few months) to her country and my dad's country. She was lonely. When it was time, my dad wasn't beside her to deliver the baby aka me. She had no one to depend on in a foreign country having her in-laws acting cold towards her. She raised me by herself and that daughter is saying that it is hard? I think the daughter in the second concern seriously needs to change because if her mother is no longer there for her then what would happen to her? To her children? Saying that she'll do better than her mother? With that attitude? She has children that depends on her. My god. Why can't she see that she(and the husband) have responsibilities as a parent. I hope after this the daughter(and the husband) will change for the good of the family. Today's episode made me cry(yeah, I cry when I'm pissed off) after the episode infinite L and some others(I only remember L because he looks so pissed off) was featured in. I feel like the last story is similar to someone I know. She was born first but her mom loved the second child who was born just one year later.... It's quite interesting to find out why their parents are like that.
The 3rd concern got me so emotional and I just cried. I know exactly how that girl feels because her situation is almost similar to mine when I was her age. Luckily I got dad on my side. When the mc said it will be alright when the siblings grow up, but I think the hurt will not be forgotten. It still hurts me when I recall things on the past.
Tbh I like this show but it annoys me because the concerns would be actual concerns in real life e.g the first couple would be in a controlling relationship. They need actual counsellors on this show .

The first couple made me feel very uncomfortable. It seemed like they appeared on Hello Counselor to fight over every single thing that have piled up till now... You're not married yet, just break up if it's so hard for you two to live with each other...
First concern: Just breakup already. Unless both parties are willing to compromise, it will only get worse down the road. It is difficult to move on, but it is better now than later. Second concern: It seems to me like the two married because at that point in time, they were head over heels for each other and/or it was a shotgun wedding. Neither of them are capable of even taking care of themselves, so I have no clue why they decided to have children. Like the man said, the mother of the daughter needs to learn the difference between being a good mother and a nice mother. She has done her duties as a mother awhile back already and should not be forced to do it again because the two of them are selfish and dependent. Third concern: Lets just hope that the first daughter continues what she is doing and does not stray onto the wrong path. It is pathetic to see her parents blame her for giving the other two all the love ("we had kids because you wanted siblings"). Chances are if she was to stray onto the wrong path, the parents will say she should have known better since she is the oldest.
I watched this for Sohyun but the 1st concern made angry. Seriously? getting a loan for just a plastic surgery to look prettier when the truth is, she don't look like one. i think basically every creator of those concerns are all oblivious on how serious is the concert is, so serious that they can be brought up to a national tv show. its annoying to see that oblivious

Did she honestly just say she'd be better than her mom??? Does she wanna fight!?? 3rd concern- I really don't understand how parents can't love all their kids the same. personally, i feel like the first concern's relationship could last. i mean- there was a reason he was still with her even though he's thought about breaking up before, right? sure, he might not feel loved by her these days, but that doesn't mean he himself doesn't love her. plus, the girlfriend kind of looked like she wanted to cry (the guy also looked like he wanted to cry, since he kept closing his eyes and looked down to cover his face.). true colors start to show after a while, and that's true, because love starts after the relationship begins, but i'm guessing for them, the girl's 'change' came too strong and sudden. if it was a slow change, i'm thinking the guy could have adjusted to her pace. she's clingy, monopolizing and is in need of love. the guy would learn to love that part of her, but in return, he needs her mutual respect as the future head of their family and the eldest son of his own family. this is getting messy, but ye. i just feel like they could last if both (+)
compromised with the other's pace and whims. relationships have many phases, they've went through a lot, especially during their temporary break up due to the guy's mother, so i hope they could get through this one. yeah, just- a little bit of consideration on both parts would help the relationship, and they'd both be happy again.

The thing i hate most in this world is people bringing kids into this world when they have no intention of doing what is necessary to raise these kids well...that is why we have a generation of social media addicts and youth with all kinds of mental issues, it all starts at home...that second concern had me swearing and i don't swear, don't get married and have sex, get pregnant and bring a child into this world only to live like you're not a mother and the last concern, yeah she'll grow up strong because of the favouritism but it'll do damage to her perception of herself and those around her, worse yet, she'll marry seeking validation in a mate who won't fulfill her expectations and its back to concern 2 all over again.

The 2nd concern made me want to claw my eyes out. I wanted to get inside the screen and hug the mother. She already did her part in raising her children, her daughter is grown and should have enough sense to raise her own children. This episode made my blood pressure go up, I swear.
I cry whenever I watch these things, and I especially cried during the young girl's concern. I have similar parents who aren't the type to say positive and kind things. As a child all you really look forward to is your parents being proud of you and of your achievements, but because they scold every time so my self esteem and motivation degrades. I don't know what it is yet to fully be a parent, but I want to give my future child all of my love no matter what.

Paying a compliment to your child when they do well at school won't make them weak or arrogant. Had my parents complimented me, I would have made an effort in school. But they only made unreasonable demands that I couldn't meet. Then they were angry when I didn't meet them. There was never a "you tried your hardest, good job." Always "You're gonna be a bum later in life if you don't do better."

OMG my mom is exactlyyy like that! I'm the oldest of the 4 and when i was younger I had the same problem. (currently 21) If i say 'ooh you're home from work how was it?' she doesnt even reply. (currently) if i would tell her i got 100% on a test she would say that's normal everything needs to be 100%. If i had cleaned the house and she would come home she wouldn't say a thing and i will say 'doesn't the house look clean' she would just say 'that needs to be done every day.' And if you won't praise me I won't do it again.
But when my lil sister(14years) comes home 'ooh you are home?' when my lil brother (10years)comes home she would be cheery, feed him etc. when my other lil brother (16years) comes home she would nag first and later ask him to eat. Just like the girl from the third concern... I was discriminated a lot by my mum, my parents separated when I was about 2years old, she showed( and still shows up until now) her preference towards my younger brother. I love my younger brother. I should love my mum too. I live alone now but whenever I visit and go to my mums house I just want to leave and I don't feel happy at all because... we can never get used to bad things. My mum sacrificed a lot for my brother and I to have a good life but she made me feel that all her sufferings were because of me... Actually,No, she didn't made me feel that way but told me so. I've always been the top student ever since I was a kid until high school but in high school I realized that however we want someone to love us, we can't force ones feelings. That is why I gave up on everything; on my studies, my social life... I had no self confidence, I started gaining weight and acne but there was no one besides me, I was alone. I am alone. It hurts. Because of this, I'm scared of having more than 1 child if I'll get married. I'm scared to be in a relationship because my mum says I'm hard to live with.
You see, when I was a kid I always give my mum letters, I craved for attention so much. But now, I don't give her letters anymore, I'm not confident enough to tell her "Mama I love you"... I can't.... so instead I buy her gifts, loads of gifts but ofcourse my brother gives her gifts too... for instance, last Christmas I gave her a wallet, I saved up for that wallet cause I know she'd only like it if it was a (known)branded one but my brother gave her an expensive necklace, my mum literally, without exagération, threw the wallet and never cared about it all. I just laughed it off cause what can I do.
When she tells me she cares for me or loves me, I dont believe her at all and it hurts me. So to parents out there or future parents please I beg of you not to let feel your children feel alone and unloved.

The gf in the first concern is really something she is just concerned about her looks and her appearance in front of other people but treats him like trash when they are alone and she dosent even think it is wrong he is ur bf not ur servant even servants shouldn't be treated like this and he is right she fakes in front of other people like she was doing now being very sweet and polite just break up shes not gonna change its toxic and his mother was also against it bcz she might have known her two faces that's why and now after this she might be against it more and it's better if they break up bcz they wont be happy they have trust issue and all and she dosent respect him at all this is the most imp having trust in ur partner and respecting each other is very imp but she doesn't respect neither trusts him it's better to end a relationship like this bcz she dosent looks one bit guilty or understands what's wrong that's why they should just end it the boy himself should end it
When the guy in the first concern said that he and his girlfriend are four years apart, I actually thought that she is 4 years older than him..until I read the comments. Seriously if she doesn't revert to her pre-morbid nice self, I hope they don't end up married.

Omg that poor 14 year old, I literally started crying at the moms excuse for not wanting to hug her child. Im 23 and have two older brothers but my parents treat us all the same, and we still get hugs from them. Someone take this poor child away and give her some love. As for the little sister, I dont mean to rude as she is only 6 but im sorry I can't stand her attitude. The way she acts, you can tell the parents spoil her. Im glad she gets some love from the grandmada though. If the parents continue treating their eldest daughter like this, the girl will either end up with some inferiority complex.

I think the mother from the second concern(her husband as well) should reflect on their behaviour and hopefully realise that they shouldn't depend fully on mother's help 'cause she ain't gonna be there forever. I seriously pity the mother, she doesn't deserve to be treated like that after all she'd done. The daughter could at least give her allowance for all the things that her mother did for her as a token of appreciation. The things that good parents did to raise their child(ren) well, their efforts and sacrifice is priceless. The daughter isn't even facing a huge crisis. I really wanted to tell her about my mother who faced greater challenge than her. My mother, being a foreigner, was discriminated by my father's family. When she had me, the first child, my dad wasn't beside her. He was taking his Master's degree. Throughout her pregnency, she kept hearing hurtful comments such as,"since her people working here are maids, do you think her child would follow after her?" etc. She kept going back and forth(during her first few months) to her country and my dad's country. She was lonely. When it was time, my dad wasn't beside her to deliver the baby aka me. She had no one to depend on in a foreign country having her in-laws acting cold towards her. She raised me by herself and that daughter is saying that it is hard? I think the daughter in the second concern seriously needs to change because if her mother is no longer there for her then what would happen to her? To her children? Saying that she'll do better than her mother? With that attitude? She has children that depends on her. My god. Why can't she see that she(and the husband) have responsibilities as a parent. I hope after this the daughter(and the husband) will change for the good of the family. Today's episode made me cry(yeah, I cry when I'm pissed off) after the episode infinite L and some others(I only remember L because he looks so pissed off) was featured in. I have so many to rant on and on about the concern but I guess people won't have time to read hehe *^^*

I feel like the last story is similar to someone I know. She was born first but her mom loved the second child who was born just one year later.... It's quite interesting to find out why their parents are like that.
The 3rd concern got me so emotional and I just cried. I know exactly how that girl feels because her situation is almost similar to mine when I was her age. Luckily I got dad on my side. When the mc said it will be alright when the siblings grow up, but I think the hurt will not be forgotten. It still hurts me when I recall things on the past.

The first couple made me feel very uncomfortable. It seemed like they appeared on Hello Counselor to fight over every single thing that have piled up till now... You're not married yet, just break up if it's so hard for you two to live with each other...
They should get 4 members from TWICE to be on the show as guest
First concern: Just breakup already. Unless both parties are willing to compromise, it will only get worse down the road. It is difficult to move on, but it is better now than later.
Second concern: It seems to me like the two married because at that point in time, they were head over heels for each other and/or it was a shotgun wedding. Neither of them are capable of even taking care of themselves, so I have no clue why they decided to have children. Like the man said, the mother of the daughter needs to learn the difference between being a good mother and a nice mother. She has done her duties as a mother awhile back already and should not be forced to do it again because the two of them are selfish and dependent.
Third concern: Lets just hope that the first daughter continues what she is doing and does not stray onto the wrong path. It is pathetic to see her parents blame her for giving the other two all the love ("we had kids because you wanted siblings"). Chances are if she was to stray onto the wrong path, the parents will say she should have known better since she is the oldest.
I watched this for Sohyun but the 1st concern made angry. Seriously? getting a loan for just a plastic surgery to look prettier when the truth is, she don't look like one. I'm wishing the guy to find another girlfriend when that girl won't change. Like the one host said, if they'll continue that, they'll live hating each other

i think basically every creator of those concerns are all oblivious on how serious is the concert is, so serious that they can be brought up to a national tv show. its annoying to see that oblivious

personally, i feel like the first concern's relationship could last. i mean- there was a reason he was still with her even though he's thought about breaking up before, right? sure, he might not feel loved by her these days, but that doesn't mean he himself doesn't love her. plus, the girlfriend kind of looked like she wanted to cry (the guy also looked like he wanted to cry, since he kept closing his eyes and looked down to cover his face.). true colors start to show after a while, and that's true, because love starts after the relationship begins, but i'm guessing for them, the girl's 'change' came too strong and sudden. if it was a slow change, i'm thinking the guy could have adjusted to her pace. she's clingy, monopolizing and is in need of love. the guy would learn to love that part of her, but in return, he needs her mutual respect as the future head of their family and the eldest son of his own family. this is getting messy, but ye. i just feel like they could last if both (+)
compromised with the other's pace and whims. relationships have many phases, they've went through a lot, especially during their temporary break up due to the guy's mother, so i hope they could get through this one. yeah, just- a little bit of consideration on both parts would help the relationship, and they'd both be happy again.

The thing i hate most in this world is people bringing kids into this world when they have no intention of doing what is necessary to raise these kids well...that is why we have a generation of social media addicts and youth with all kinds of mental issues, it all starts at home...that second concern had me swearing and i don't swear, don't get married and have sex, get pregnant and bring a child into this world only to live like you're not a mother and the last concern, yeah she'll grow up strong because of the favouritism but it'll do damage to her perception of herself and those around her, worse yet, she'll marry seeking validation in a mate who won't fulfill her expectations and its back to concern 2 all over again.
