When stir-fried, the heat from the pan toasts the peppers in the kimchi, giving it a rich, slightly smoky aroma and flavor. Adding bacon, spam, or canned tuna to the stir-fry adds additional flavor and protein, making it a more complete and satisfying meal.

    ½ cup baechu kimchi (without the juice)
    1 tsp soy sauce
    1 tsp sesame oil

    I don't even heat up the Kimchi. I like the hot and cold mix at the same time. Shredded nori is a nice addition.

      I like it cold too! To me, they are two different dishes.

    I know what I'm having for breakfast tomorrow! This looks amazing. I always buy kimchi but don't know what to do with it except eat it on the side, cooking it is so obvious I'm annoyed at myself for never trying it.

      It could be an acquired taste, but if you like kimchi already then you'll most likely love it! Thank you and hope you'll enjoy this recipe as much as I did! Oh and if you feel adventurous, kimchi fried rice and kimchi pancakes are must try dishes too.

    I highly recommend adding a dollop of yogurt with dill, minced garlic, cumin powder salt and pepper mixed in

    I sometimes add a little butter with the rice before adding my kimchi. Yum!

    Doesn’t hitting the kimchi kill the healthy probiotic ?

      You're right, heat kills probiotics, but you still get the amazing flavor and some vitamins & fiber!
