I know this is from 2 years ago but maybe you will see this message. I’m mending a 1955 cj5 as well and converted it to 12 volts. I have the same old king seeley cluster with the silver facing. My question is about the fuel and temp gauges. Did you use a voltage reducer to allow those to work on your 12 volt system?
I'd recommend using the voltage reducer. I didn't and used a cheap 12 volt gas sender. Seems the gauge was working, but now it's intermittent, although could be the sender that's bad. Thanks for watching!
It's universal, so it will work. It will not be the same harness as factory, so there will be connections you will have to make or reuse out of your current harness.
On my 55 Jeep, I have vacuum wipers, thus no need for a circuit. If you use the EZ wire harness, there is a fuse and labelled wire that you would run to the wiper switch, then from there run a wire to the wiper motor. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
Walmart actually carries the exact same tail lights for $6.97 / pair . They are identical to my factory tail lights on my 1974 CJ 5
Good to know, Thanks for sharing!
Came over from Real World Garage ,,Thanks for the tip on bolt cleaning,,Best Regards
Welcome, and thanks for the sub!
Great video. I got the 16 circuit harness for my 64 Impala. Great price for the harness.
Agree, these are good harnesses for the money. Thanks for watching!
