      Kudos to all those that it takes to orbit a rocket. What I want to know is: why have their been no improvements in propulsion since the late 30’s early 40’s…. If there are alien craft then why not copy their designs and deployment…100 years and what have we accomplished.

    • @ouahaahmed3902
      @ouahaahmed3902 3 роки тому

      @@mkivy in my opinion....
      I don't believe in aliens 👽..
      Yes what can be done in space is really very limited by current rocket technology....
      And intell a breakthrough in propulsion sciences is made ...the space discovery will be limited to our solar system specifically the nearest planets ( mars ...)

      @@ouahaahmed3902 It's not nearly so bad. Chemical rockets are needed to get into orbit, but once you're there, other propulsion systems (ion drives, HETs [Hall effect thrusters], solar thermal rockets [lower-thrust, but high specific impulse], arcjet and resistojet [electrothermal] thrusters, solar sails, E-sails [electric sails, which reflect the positive protons of the solar wind], and laser-pushed light sails are very efficient, and can reach very high velocities [significant fractions of light speed, for laser sails]).

    • @ouahaahmed3902
      @ouahaahmed3902 3 роки тому

      @@j.jasonwentworth723 yes ..but always there is some disadvantages ...one common problem is there very weak thrust.....that need too much time to get a significant ∆v....

      Yes, I appreciate their use of SI (metric) units. Nautical miles are also fine, because they are independent of any system (a nautical mile, what NASA uses for distance [and velocity, in nautical miles per hour or per second], measures 1/60 of a degree--one minute of latitude--and is exactly 1852 m long: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nautical_mile ).

    Meanwhile Jeff Bezos is mourning into his coffee. As why Blue Origin can not get a single payload into orbit. But did put out a propaganda video about how well Blue Origin is doing. Despite a complete absence of functional hardware.
    While Elon Musk and Space X is awaiting Federal approval to launch Starship into low-Earth orbit. To prove the Starship concept is fully functional and ready for normal operations.
    Plus Astra has just proven their concept of using battery-powered rocket engines is now functional and ready for commercial flight operations. For low-weight payloads. Which is a major market segment of the Space launch business.
    Why Jeff Bezos should be considered a major player in the Space launch business is a bit of a mystery. As even Astra is out-pacing Blue Origin.
