Your problem could be that your stop loss is way too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.

Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. A mentor would be amazing, but getting one is easier said than done. If it's not too much to ask, do you know any?
It has taken me 3 years in a Demo account to get to a level of consistency that I can make profit. Dont be discouraged It will just take more time. If you can stay a float in this rough market imigine how you will do when It gets better.
When you are running through the sample trades, the MACD does not have the same settings as you instructed earlier in the video. My guess is that your sample trades are not accurate. Never mind, I see that you fixed that later in the video. Thanks!
I know the desk top (not mobile app ) version of MT4 has trailing stop functionality on it . You will need a windows or apple to run it. ...can't do it on a Chromebook.

You can't backtest trailing stops inside of tradingview. They make it look like a strategy is much much much better than it is because it only tracks the high, low, and close - not the action _inside_ of the candle, which is where trailing stops actually get hit
@@stponyt If you code strategies in pinescript like I do, you can see this for yourself. Say you have a .5% trailing stop loss and tomorrow's 8% candle has a .4% bottom wick, and you go long at the close of today's candle. It will automatically say you won the long of 8% on tomorrow's candle because the bottom wick isn't long enough to trigger the trailing stop loss from the open price. But trailing stop losses only work by tracking the price of the asset _throughout_ the day. If price went up 8% in a day there's an extremely good chance that at some point during that day, a .4% trailing stop loss would have been hit. But tradingview doesn't track what happens during the day, only the high, open, and close for the backtester for any given time frame. Get it? You can make strategies look absurdly (falsely, impossibly) effective in tradingview this way.

Better to use "normalized macd" on tradingview
You can't backtest trailing stops inside of tradingview. They make it look like a strategy is much much much better than it is because it only tracks the high, low, and close - not the action _inside_ of the candle, which is where trailing stops actually get hit
as long as the wicks havent hit the SL then its fine in theory
Look for GREEN STICK STRATEGIES, it´s doing a backtest with trailing stop loss, with the results from TV. The nearest you can get to a real result.
