his song was based on the 'cannibal case' with Armin Meiwes back in 2001, where Meiwes killed and ate his lover (with the lovers permission!), after putting out a request for exactly that on a gay website.
Meiwes actually sued Rammstein afterwards for using his story and wanted compensation for it
