That's the random Free Feature... which can hit at any time before the meter hits 1800 Buffalo collected... and the Free Feature can either be the Link bonus or Free Games (8, 15, or 20 - usually 8). Hope that helps explain it. Best of luck! Pick 'em good!
@SlotsOfOpportunities thanks for that. We have this Buffalo game here in Australia it just works slightly different. There is no meter for free games. They go off randomly, or of course with the 3 coins.
Buffalo Link and 50 Lions are the only 2 machines I will play. Our maximum bet is $10 though. Can't bet any higher than that, like you do.
