The Jagdtiger was "only" 72 tons and it wasn't much good. Most never got to the battlefield because of lack of fuel or mechanical problems. So one can only imagine what the Maus would be like
And even if they got to the battlefield,1945 armor quality was down because of the lack of rare minerals for the armor alloys,so your armor was already weaker than advertised.
well thats the thing many dont understand, the maus was just the test bench for a super heavy tank. the ACTUAL super heavy tank of the germans wouldve been the 100, a much lighter tank. still stupidly heavy, a planned 123 tons, but much better than the maus ever could be, also had the same amount of effective armour, while being faster, and could mount a 15cm naval gun, because fuck you thats why

1:28 wrong, you actually have about a week or two to start the research for the maus. Once you have even one (1) RP towards researching the maus, it will be permanently available for research.
When you said at the start of the video “a prototype” it wasn’t they did make 2 but only one got full built but the other one didn’t have a turret on it but they took so long to designer it, find parts and built it that the first one got finished at the end of the war
@@maeve8792 if I remember correctly they built two but they effectively destroyed one hull running away and the turret was fine and then on the other maus it was the opposite so there’s just one Franken maus left
I haven't unlocked the subcaliber shell yet, but I find that carrying a mix of improved HEAT and smoke shells for the 75mm is helpful, especially since the 75mm reload rate is stupid fast. Someone breaks your main gun? Shoot a fart shell at him, you don't even have to be accurate, and use that surprisingly decent reverse gear :)
I find that the 75 is usually my most deadly weapon as it is good against the very prevalent swarms of IFVs and light tanks that you don’t want to waste a main gun reload on
@@Grebogoborp How do you aim it beyond point blank range? The sight is only scaled for the main gun and its not like the trajectory of the secondary is flat.

For rangin with a secondary cannon like the Maus or the M3 Lee instead of having a key to "shoot secondary gun" you could have a "select secondary gun" to change what gun is shooting like using a top mounted MG as in that way the other gun will have a sight for itself. The only probles is that you will need an extra key to go back to the main gun
The way that they envisaged crossing rivers with these is actually somewhat bonkers. The tank uses a hybrid diesel electric power train to move. So the way they would do it is they would connect a snorkel (if available) to keep the engines from flodding and then connect another maus to the one crossing the river to feed it electrical power so it could mover under water. I think the model actually has these electrical connectors modeled on the back left of the vehicle's hull, the sockets at least)
The most important thing to remember with the Maus is to try to drive only in straight lines, turning while driving slows you down significantly. I am not sure if this is actually true but it feels way faster to stop and turn on the spot than try the same turn on the move.
9:52 yes you can rangefind for the smaller gun, you just need to switch to the secondary gun (with a keybind or the Z menu) or you can use a custom sight.
Even lighter (understatement though) Tiger already had trouble with bridges. During Cold War, I guess that any bridges that able to handle Soviet heavies would be packed with demo charges to slow them down. Forcing them to build pontoon bridge, or find alternates
It was kinda pain to see those 68 rounds and 50 heat, with the heat its kinda understandable but with q reload around 20s you dont really need more then 30 rounds for the main gun.Any excess ammo is just a bigger target for the enemy
The Maus still exists, surprisingly enough -- though it's entirely non-functional as far as I remember. Cobbled together from the hull of the first prototype and the turret of the second, totally empty on the inside and god-damn MASSIVE. I can't remember the exact place, but it's in a small museum in england. I think it's neat it "technically" survived the war, it's an interesting look into the wunderwaffe nonsense Mustache Man cooked up.
You can set a keybind to choose which gun you want to fire from and this will change the sight to account for the drop 75mm heat instead of the 128mm APHE
Just so you know, the 105mm APDS from the Centurion Mk.10 and similar can go through the front of your buttered scone turret, in the middle of the curve so it’s flat on.

No the reason why Germany didn’t use the Maus was because they knew it would be an easy target for strike aircraft, and yes they could have probably used railroad as an option because of the Gustav gun was literally 10x heavier
2 muas where built and one sent to each front but before they could deploy them the allies have pushed to far up and with how hard it was to transport destroyed the tanks and one front the turret was near intact and the other from the hull was near intact so that is how you can see 1 real muas today in a museum

Hi PanzerPaw,as someone who has played 350 battles in maus i recommend you to take 20 pzgr43 rounds and 5 12,8 pzgr rounds and for the 2nd cannon you should take 20 of the best heat rounds for it and 5 smoke grenades and of course don’t forget to separately bind keybinds for main and secondary cannon

Also you should actually angle your turret more than your hull. You want the hull at about 25-30 degrees while you should keep the turret closer to 40 degrees. The turret sides are extremely thick and well angled
There is a setting where you can select your secondary or even your turretmachinegun and it will have its own sight so you can actually aim with the heat round

Well, I played very defensely...But I loved it. My first match I had a full up tier and bounced incredibly many bounces...Like, I don't know if they all used APHE or something but I guess they just had bad aim. Also, the Maus can be researched all year as long as you research at least 1RP into it on the anniversary
you can switch to your secondary by pressing Y and pick the secondary armament option. Once you've switched you can use the sight on it. But you do have to switch back to your primary cannon once its reloaded. I can't remember if there was a way to bind this. You could bind the turret mounted mg. not sure about the secondary cannon though.
The Maus is actually electric and operates similar to the giant dump trucks you find in giant quarries. There is a generator inside to power the electric motors.
I think they were going to build the maus for defending the capital. They it was to heavy to move it over bridges so it was probably going to be their finals defence and then they would use the e100 and 75 as attackers. It would have made sense for its slow so they would just put it in a good spot and then leave it there
In my opinion, if you ever get an open map, go straight down the middle since whoever’s in front of you you could shoot and whoever is on the side of you bounces so you can just go straight all the way to the middle of the map unless you know a T 95 gets in your way you can still kill a T 95 with the best round the mouse has

Also you should actually angle your turret more than your hull. You want the hull at about 25-30 degrees while you should keep the turret closer to 40 degrees. The turret sides are extremely thick and well angled
There was actually 1 maus that saw some form of combat during WW2
There is a setting where you can select your secondary or even your turretmachinegun and it will have its own sight so you can actually aim with the heat round
Broo, even if we lose, it's gonna be okay because we'll still have Finch. He makes everything more enjoyable.
The big oil tank looking thing on the back is a fuel tank since the mouse phoned about 17L a mile
In germany switching from centimeters to millimeters is mostly used in the metal industry because its more accurate but switching the measurement on guns i am not sure
Buttered scones!! Once you get the right tanks/planes it’s fun. 30:10
Maybe not carry full ammo for the main caliber gun? Lol.
where is your decal? i want to represent the noob squad. you are the most relatable CC when it comes to this game. keep doing what you are doing man. we love you
Not yet but maybe someday soon I'll have one!
I know, right, friend? His gameplay analysis is why I trust 4RBT now. Finch knows his cricket!
Yeah there’s a keybind for swapping to each weapon
The HEAT shell you should be aftaid of the most is the amx-30s. It hascall thecadvantages of HEATFS without any of the disadvantages.
The Maus is actually electric and operates similar to the giant dump trucks you find in giant quarries. There is a generator inside to power the electric motors.
1:43 too many buttered scones?
I grinded Maus at simulator battles and there it was the same beast it used to be in history. Haad great time with it.
I think they were going to build the maus for defending the capital. They it was to heavy to move it over bridges so it was probably going to be their finals defence and then they would use the e100 and 75 as attackers. It would have made sense for its slow so they would just put it in a good spot and then leave it there
Pretty sure i read somewhere the maus needed like 1L of fuel for every 30m it traveled offroad which is kinda nuts if you think about it.

Actually, in that 1 week time you need to put the minimum of 1 rp point and then you have infinite amount of time to research it
I bet that BTR, saw the maus and went like " Nope, not dealing with that today"
Lol when I use mause in war thunder mobile you gotta hide the turret cheeks
In my opinion, if you ever get an open map, go straight down the middle since whoever’s in front of you you could shoot and whoever is on the side of you bounces so you can just go straight all the way to the middle of the map unless you know a T 95 gets in your way you can still kill a T 95 with the best round the mouse has
