Hi, I think you should mention about the parking, yes it's crazy, though if your a resident you can get a permit parking (still sometimes yeah you might have to park a block away from your home) and then you can purchase a visitor's parking permit, they too will have to find a space. Still, worth mentioning I think. Moved here when I was a teen and now senior citizen and miss a lot about Cambridge (the cost is crazy & I do have housing), I love it still and I'm in a whole area now for 2 years, E.Cambridge & for me a great part because I can walk over to the river and sit on a bench. If it wasn't for my disability that affects my walking I'd be able to access every area, since there is several ways of public transportation. : )
Thank you @Mary Salvi, for your comment and for watching my video. I thought I mentioned the difficulty with the parking in the cons, didn't I? Anyway, I am glad you are enjoying living in Cambridge, it is awesome!
Hello. I am trying to gather information about living in Cambridge. And I appreciate your video very much! Thank you! I have someone in my household who has a severe immune system disorder, they get sick easily. I researched and found that there are 18,000 people per square mile in Cambridge. Can I have your opinion since you’re familiar with Cambridge .. please... do you think Cambridge is a safe place as far as sickness goes? Including the still lingering COVID? We would be coming from such a rural country place where we don’t have neighbors for miles, so it will be a huge change. I just want to make sure it’s safe. I also heard there is a serious rodent problem? Can you elaborate on that as well. And also what is the crime like there? Or the culture? Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching and asking questions. Cambridge is densely populated, it’s a city, so you will be surrounded by people at all times. Rodent problem is everywhere, if you will be living in a single family home, you can hire a company to come and treat it and close all tiny holes in the house, if you will be renting, it will be harder to convince the landlord to spend money on that. If having too many people around is an issue, then go to more rural Boston suburbs, there are many, even Watertown or Belmont, next door to Cambridge are calmer.
Property tax in the city of Boston is not that high. It's $10.88 per thousand, which is lower than many of the Boston suburbs. Also, if you are an owner occupant you get residential exemption, there are also personal exemptions that can lower your taxes even more.
If you are on dating apps in Boston/Cambridge, be warned of a chess player/streamer who is a sex addict and a scammer. Lots of sob stories to get anything you can offer (including $) out of you.

hey! Cambridge is my hometown, loved the shots of city! Just for the record, though, Cambridge isn’t a suburb
You are right, it is a city and a great one too. It is much smaller than Boston, so feels like a suburb of Boston but in fact it is not.
In which month was this video filmed?

Do you have to go to Boston for everything? I like Zoo, Aquarium Art etc
Aquarium is in Boston but we have zoos outside of Boston like the Stone Zoo is in Stoneham @Dontneednoman stoptellingmeIdo
Hi, Noune. What about the property tax in Boston?

Cambridge has low property taxes. Lower than Boston and most other suburbs in the area.
The taxes may be low but everything else is sky-high like rents, ( 2 to 4 thousand a month for 4 rooms )
I want to relocate to Cambridge Ma, please how can you help me to get a cheap mortgage?
Reach out to me, all my contact info is in the description
