I forgot to mention --- we had cell service, actually 4G, most of the time there. It did go in and out sometimes but it was pretty amazing to have any cell/internet service.
Just booked my first camping venture here with my wife because of your video! We booked site #3 (#4 was already taken) when the season opens. We are tent campers but I still like the site. The first of many camping trips to come and we’ll be visiting many more of your recommended sites!
Thanks Robin and crew this will be one of our trips here in the New Mexico and the one down south by Los Cruise . All of your UA-cam have been great to watch.
I’m glad you mentioned that the campsites were re-numbered! I was looking at campsites earlier and noticed the camp pictures were off from the listed numbers.
Awesome video, my friend! Great mountain camp! Enjoyed watching, your skills are really good! And the surrounding nature is amazing. Cheers from Russia, Robin, and welcome to my channel about special bushcraft tips and hacks! Kind regards, Yuriy!
We occasionally saw and heard people on the trail but it wasn't bad or invasive. I didn't film some of the campsites as I don't invade people's privacy if I can help it. When we were walking around filming several people were just arriving and trying to set up their campers so I planned to go back later if I could. Sorry I missed some sites! Honestly, we didn't think there were any bad sites except the ones noted in the video. Enjoy!
we just camped there, we had site 11 across from vc. was very confusing when we got there our site was a different number then we res. hostess was great and helped us find our right site. set up isnt the best on site 11 the picnic table and fire ring are right beside the other campsite on the wrong side of camper. Beautiful state park!
Wow. Hopefully they get the online map in sync with the actual park. It is very confusing right now to have 2 different maps. Glad you enjoyed the park anyhow. We loved it.
I don't remember seeing any wood for sale. Usually the Camp Host has it if its available. We bought it ahead of time at the store and took it with us. If you want a fire I would take some with you from a local store.
the pit toilets at the campground were good and clean. Ebikes? Not sure they are allowed on any trails in the area or in campgrounds, and the roads are dirt/gravel so you could ride on the road but it wouldn't be a nice ride. We did see some ATVs out on the main road once so I know they are probably allowed there.

Thank you! Glad to help out.
I’m staying at the same site as the other fellas you mentioned. Pretty stoked to check this campground out!
Awesome! Have a great time!

Glad we could help.
I live in Moriarty, it looks like a great place to camp

I noticed you didn't mention sites 22-25. For site 26 were you close to other campsites? was there a lot of traffic behind the campsite from trail?

Is there a place to buy wood? I can't wait to get there! I got #4!

I finally made it here! It’s pretty, but hot.
Yeah, unfortunately its pretty hot everywhere right now. Have a good time anyhow!
@@RobinT-treehugger I will! Can I give you a shout out on my UA-cam channel?
@@poodleprofessor of course, as long as its good!
@@RobinT-treehugger yes!!
I have wanted to go there now not so sure. Thanks
What exactly is your concern? It is a more rustic state park, not fancy so not for everyone. Thanks for watching.
How were the pit toilets? Are the roads or trails worth an ebike ride or are they too short or too steep?

@@RobinT-treehugger Thanks. Good info to plan any trip to NM.
