Groundbreaking composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi - whose unique musical style is renowned around the world - released ‘Elements’ in 2015. Recorded at Einaudi’s Italian home, ‘Elements’ features 12 tracks, which interweave piano, strings, percussion, guitar and electronica and it is simultaneously exhilarating and transcendent. It is inspired by nature’s elements, mathematical and scientific elements, musical forms and works of art.
Says Einaudi: “I saw new frontiers - on the edge between what I knew and what I didn’t know - that I had long wanted to explore: creation myths, the periodic table, Euclid's geometry, Kandinsky’s writings, the matter of sound, and of colour, the stems of wild grass in a meadow, the shapes of the landscape. For months I wandered in a seemingly chaotic mix of images, thoughts and feelings. Then, gradually, everything came together in a dance, as if all the elements were parts of the same world, and myself within it.”

@@MrFrak0207 Oh, do not misunderstand me. I know they're way different on their styles. In fact, Mr. Einaudi categorized himself as a simplistic. His pieces are simple compared to those of the afford mentioned authors, but let's just recognize his art because he is very good, if not the best, on his style.

Heard this song on the way to my parents house after learning my Dad had just passed. To me this song will always be bitter sweet, knowing that i would never be able to tell my Dad i loved him ever again, but also knowing he was finally free

This song was used in Belgium as theme for a documentary about funerals, how people cope with death, all over the world.
I'm so so sorry for your loss. I heard this song first in a similar way, when my father was near death in fighting for his life in the ICU. He survived by a miracle of science and doctors and nurses and time. I still listen to this song every now and then and cry remembering that time and how close we were to losing him. Bittersweet is exactly how I think of this song.

I was there too, it was so surreal. I cant believe how fast the time went, I wanted it to last forever. Being in the presence of a legend doesn't happen every day, too bad the meet and greet tickets were sold out.
I can't even portray how much I'm looking forward to hearing Ludovico's new album as I'm sure that if the rest of the pieces are even half as good as this one, this will be an amazing album. Einaudi is such a masterful composer. He has a way with music and knows exactly what to write to make the listener feel something, whether it's sadness, happiness, serenity and so on. I love this piece and can't wait for the album later this year.

Ready for an anecdote?
About a year ago a girl at a concert played i giorni. I fell in love and the moment i got home i learnt it in about 2 hours. Only today was i introduced to nuvoe bianche... now i have spent the whole day learning the full repertoire of ludovico einaudi... even as a 13 year old wrapped up in social media when i feel down i do not play my silly old exam pieces... i lose myself in the music of einaudi 😍
All his music really helps me with writing, meditate, relax and like going to other places. somehow nostalgic with something I never ever have before.

Being a teenager and being born with today's media thrown at me you'd be able to guess this isn't what I'd normally listen to, but sometimes its just nice to slow down a little, block out all the negatives and relax in pure bliss under the sounds of a truly talented musician.
