Great little trees and very good insights into what it means to grow a Shohin bonsai. I remember seeing online photos of Morten Albeks shohins around 10 years ago, amongst several other remarkable bonsai, which is part of the reason I took up bonsai as a hobby. Thanks for the video!
I'm in southern Ontario. We are usually below 0° all winter. I read that it's okay to store them in my garage in an insulated cooler or foam box. (Lid open for air) I have a small junipers that rooted a year ago. My question is in regards to sunlight...even in winter dormancy, doesn't the tree need some natural light? Obviously I'm new to this and just winging it here. UA-cam has a lot of bonsai enthusiasts living in warmer climates.
Good questions. Evergreen trees need light, also in winter. Deciduous trees can do fine without (much) light. So for your Juniper you need a cold place with light.
Beautiful self confident voice to accompany the jewelry of Trees.

Where can you find beautiful pots such as the ones in this video?
They are collected over time. Bought at events or at bonsai shops. Online it is possible too. Search for Shohin pots. 😊

If I want a shohin literaty with a tenjin, is the height of 20cm still a rule?
A top Jin extending the 20cm is accepted. As long as the “”feeling” is still a Shohin.
