I know everyone has said this before, but I’ve recently discovered these videos and they are without shadow of a doubt the best combat flight sim instructional videos out there!
i don't know how i stumbled on this channel. As a beginner to flight sims, I am so happy that someone with your esteemed background is doing such educational content. It really is worth its weight in gold. Thanks so much for this!
Excellent info as always! This is especially useful to me because I ran a mission the other night as a flight lead and package lead, and I've been trying to learn more about this exact topic as a result. Really great work, sir.
5:37 Is the ALPHA CHECK correct here? My understanding is that ALPHA CHECK from C2 gives bearing and range from the requester TO a bullseye point, i.e. 180 degrees difference from bullseye ownship position.
Well done. Enlisted GCI here. Ever thought of doing an advanced intercept comms video series with 4-ship tactic, flow, target with responsibilities by # of FCRs allocated? Some DCS peeps might get something out of that. Cheers.
Thanks. Well I will certainly be going into greater depth on intercepts as we continue this series. And there will be a separate series on BVR which should touch on this area as well.
I've been trying to find a good video on intraflight comms and coordination, going over things like 'types of orders a lead could issue AFW', 'how to coordinate a multi-ship as a lead', 'determining and relaying reference headings', all that kind of stuff. You covered a good amount of it in your basic formations video but if you could do a similar video based more on the tactical sense I would love to see it. Thanks for all the content, found your channel the other day and been learning lots.

Couldn't agree more. I've been looking for videos like this for a while.
yesterday i played il2 with an airforce fighter guy and it was the coolest flightsim experience of my life
Glad you got to experience that. It's a real treat to do this stuff with a pro.
@@TheOpsCenterByMikeSolyom thanks for making these videos, it's cool to get context behind what the meanings are of their comms

This channel seriously doesn't get the views it deserves. Much appreciated!
Thanks. I appreciate the kind words.
Thanks Mike. That sorted the WORDS out and learned something new with the battlespace handover. Great content.
I agree on the WORDS. It's a simple concept but doesn't get explained very often.

BTW: The "2", "3", "4" thing is purely a USAF SOP. USN uses full callsigns all of the time (even intra-flight).

It's Bullseye to Fighter (video is correct)

Do u know how twin seater pilots communicate in case of radio silence?
Thanks - great video series! 🙂👍
Great stuff, as always.
Thanks again!
