What if planets orbited each other from smallest to largest succession (So Mercury orbits Mars, which orbits Venus, which orbits Earth, and so on)
Alex Siemers that wouldn't work
The Legend 566 no but you can set up the orbits and watch everything spin into chaos
The Legend 566 i think it would, but then the planets would no longer be considered planets but moons, well, exept for jupiter
Alex Siemers yes that would be cool
basically what would happen is that orbital mechanics would show you the finger and everything would fall into jupiter.
Instead of concentrating on the orbital part, how about using your simulator to go planet by planet and give us the planets surface temperature and conditions, showing us the changes each planet would undergo in the process of moving from their current locations to permanent members of the Goldilocks zone. In short forget orbits and do climatology.
That's a great idea!
Harvey Holloway you would make a 22 minutes video over an hour..
Harvey Holloway
I like you
Harvey Holloway Universe Sandbox 3 beta is out!!!
I would find this very interesting too!
P.S. I Declare Shenanigames: Congratulations on a great channel :)
The Goldilocks zone is where water can remain in a liquid state. That zone can vary depending upon the star energy output.
Tru
Try to engineer a gas giant with habitable moons.
DocWolph. We would need a gas giant to siphon off the necessary gas
1.) Mercury
2.) Venus
3.) Earth
4.) Mars
5.) Jupiter
6.) Saturn
7.) Uranus
8.) Neptune
_"5 is the magic number."_ , said someone I don't remember the name of.
with _"5 is the magic number."_ , it's ment that if you were to place whatever amount of planets or other planetary objects in a habitable zone of a star, if you wait long enough, aventually it will end up being 5, and staying 5.
Thanks for 10K, I know it is a long video but I do hope you enjoy it ----- and FIRST
I Declare Shenanigames Almost 11k 😉***
I Declare Shenanigames good for you
+Joshua Settlemyer thanks
+MetRG Gaming thank you
good video
sooooo 2 days ago you had 10,000 Subs, 2 days later u earned +2,000? Damn this channel is gonna suddenly EXPLODE some day. whatever you're doing, keep doing it c:
Lol, the way he said "Uranus". He said it fast because he knows people will think it's inappropriate.
He pronounced it properly, only young children obnoxiously pronounce it as, "Your-anus."
It's pronounced, ur-unus.
"Your-anus" is the correct pronunciation. Scientists started miss pronouncing because of the childish snickering. I remember that from The Sky at Night, I think it was.
+Amy Blackwood Uhh, no, you're wrong. His pronunciation is the one used by academics and professional astronomers all over the world. I went through the first two pages of Google trying to prove you right, but I couldn't.
"It turns out that both pronunciations are correct. The classic, potty-mouth version (specifically ū·rā′·nəs) places the emphasis on the long "A" sound, is what leads to raised eyebrows, giggling and outright laughter. This is the pronunciation that most planetarium lecturers, for example, don't even want to talk about in front of an audience. Which is probably why kids still ask about it and adults still snicker when they hear it."
Like I say, the potty way is correct. The other way has become correct through constant usage.
+Amy Blackwood It's correct for non-academics, aka, dumb people. Go ahead and use it if you like.
Video idea: Try to turn earth into a star by throwing so many planets at it and giving it so much mass?? :))) ly
that would be boring to watch
Rob Pegg Universe Sandbox 3 beta is out!!!
Tomas Gaming Video's i know and shut up
Rob Pegg we would need a lot more planets. Our solar system is a bit short of mass
"Ooh we got water! Oh we lost water."
You have to be one of the fastest growing UA-camrs right now. 6,000 in two months is crazy.
+SaiyaMan2011 it's crazy
THE FIRST TIME I SAW YOU YOU WERE ONLY AT 2000 SUBS BUT NOW YOURE AT 17K WTF MAN YOUR CHANNEL IS GROWING SOOOOOOOOOOO QUICK!!
Erick Ortiz, no wonder you are such a moron. Your dirty parents couldn't even spell. So how should YOU get educated? You have been raised by garbage in a trash-bin.
Hey Marvyn, that is amazing! I bet I Declare Shenanigames will appreciate your comment! And by the way, yes, he deserves it! His work is amazing, funny made AND informative!
Erick Ortiz says the one
winterweib thanks for sticking up for me and his channel is not only creative but it helps learn too
When the planets started the orbit with those signature trails, it was beautiful. It looked like something out of a sci-fi or fantasy show where some individuals came together.
You should make a map out of that new Earth you made. Imagine those continents with those creators.
16:44
Ooh we got water! :D
1 second later...
We lost water....
Science is AMAZING
༺ཱྀ༼Mitsuki༽ཱི༻ no science is not amazing space is amazing
Skord the assassin. Which is science. Everything is science.
Skord the assassin We learn space on science
Hey man, your videos alone have sold me on this simulator, and you have my sub. Cool videos man, just spent the last two hours watching as much of your content as possible. Keep up the good work my man!
"OOOO WE GOT WATER! :D"
"We lost water :("
Hello again. I wanted to let you know that, I really like how you let us see the long term affects of your Shenanigame play, it is very appreciated. Also, a little longer grand tours if you have time. Don't listen to the NEGATIVE comments, just keep doing what your doing, it's Educational and Entertaining.
+Rus Clay thanks for the feedback 🖖
This channel has blown up since I discovered it. You had a couple hundred subscribers when I found you, now you're already at 13k
Congrats on 10k, dude. Your channel is growing fast. I've been subbed to you since 3k, and that wasn't really all that long ago.
Thank you
you're just making earth MORE POWERFUL! it's getting BIGGER AND BIGGER
OMG YOU FINALLY LISTENED!
+ShallowGaming 😀
Yeah, Anton!!!!! Isn't he just GREAT? :D
winterweib kiss ass
Great videos man.
What if 10k Earth's collided with Earth? or a million? What would happen?
How many Jupiters does it take to make Jupiter a burning star?
Oo, there's one on the note of Pluto: What if Pluto were a satellite of Earth? Either replacing our Moon entirely, or hanging about as a a second satellite?
Well this did teach us that the planets being where they are keeps things in balance. The thing is though if the planets had all formed in the Goldie Locks zone, I should think they'd have turned out rather different than what we see in this video. The game just keeps all current conditions when you moved them. I still enjoyed the fun none-the-less!
what if jupiter was removed from our solar system. To see how the asteroids would affect earth without jupiters protection.
You're my favourite "what if" person in the whole wide world :P
+Perilicious wow
They would break chairs, eat a heck of pourage, then lastly fall asleep in other peoples beds.
I've been subbed since 6k. This was probably one of the best videos so far. That ending tho. I really want this game.
+American Politicality Thank you
Your channel is growing very fast you have gained 20k since this video was uploaded so keep it up and congrats on your videos! 😊
"oooo we got water ... We lost water" lol
haha
xd
@@FungIsSquish stfu u idiot
@@FungIsSquish BRUH STOP
you can go to view to see where the goldilocks zone is. and also you can change the planets yearly rotational period to put them all in the same orbital plain
you have hit 11K in the space of a day
sorry 7hours
"Earth isn't doing too good in 2077..."yeah Cyberpunk pretty much clued me in on that.
Probably my favourite video yet on this channel
+Louis Swanepoel thanks
"I'm trying to blow up the Earth..." Classic!
8:23 Venus is like screw this, everyone's too close now.
16:46 Earth: "Fine! You want me to heat up!? I'll heat up!" XD
It's 0112 and I just discovered this game. I'm really needing to sleep, but all the theoretical situations are fascinating.
Thank you, dear Sir! I just subbed. Your work is so fascinating!
Bro your channel is growing so much. last time I saw you had 4,000 subs now you have 12,000. 👌
Happy days
You are going to make me buy this game! Wish I had caught it on sale.
Here is a What if... The "missing planet" asteroid belt was still a planet?
i subbed yesterday. love your vids. keep up the good work. 100k subscribers will be here soon!
Thank you and welcome
I have a feeeling your gonna become a big youtuber btw i enjoy your videos :3
+Endless Possibilities thanks for your support
And by how many views this got, looks like you have a very active subscriber base aswell :) love your accent btw
+Tom thank you Tom
The only thing this game is missing is the simulation of the Big Bang. ;)
And realistic craters and chunks missing and planets falling apart realistically
What if Earth have two stars around like Tatooine?
Fallo Colorado -_-
we'd have two shadows and it'd be pretty hot
@@Kortex13
If the stars were smaller and the distance was about the same it may work. The stars could closely orbit one another so if the earth was far enough away it would be like orbiting one larger star
Just tatooine? There is an entire system btw
Hey i'm new to the chanel, congratulations for reaching 10k subs. You should try to find a bunch of planets and remove thier atmosphere and see what happens!
The game is very buggy.. I put a 2nd earth into Mars orbit, and moved mars further along in it's orbit and no matter what I did, I couldn't get Earth to be warm. I even tried 100 atm and nothing would work. Yet you add half of an atm to Mars and it warms up really fast. Makes no sense. Also, if you enable climate on mars, you have the same problem. Nothing you do, will warm it up. You get a runaway Ice Age.
+gnexus01 what was the greenhouse effect degree ??? I just finished a video on Terraforming Mars and I got it stable. It should be up soon
Greenhouse effect kept going down itself. I just tried again, with 5 atm. The Earth was going into a runaway ice age. I would like to see if someone could teraform Mars with Climate enabled. I have yet to pull it off.
gnexus01 you must increase its magnetic field.
I don't see how that would effect anything. That only deflects solar wind. Mars is further from the sun, so shouldn't the solar wind be less powerfull. Regradless, I tried it anyway and increased the magnetic field by a factor of 3 and gave it a 3.5 atm and it still keep going into a runaway Ice Age.
Also, giving earth 3.5 atm in it's normal orbit has zero effect on the climate.
Increasing its magnetic field would help protect it from the solar wind yes, and yes it is less powerfull that it by earth's orbit, but it is predicted that mars lost its atmosphere in the first place because it was torn away by solar winds by the new fully functioning sun.
Congratulations on 10k!!
Thank you
This channel is trending very fast. Good job.
+Wooter Baby thanks
how about a video about the hypothetical nemesis star and what would happen if it came by again
There are five Lagrange points where objects can orbit the sun in essentially the sane orbit. I am not sure it would work with planet sized bodies. We have satellites parked at L1, (DSCOVR, and SOHO) and Jupiter has hundreds of Trojan asteroids at its L2 and L3 points. Saturn's Dionne and Dionne B moons are in the same orbit. The "B" object is at either L2 or L3.
I subbed like a week ago and you were at 8k subs. your channel is growing fast. congrats on 10k
+Matthew Alan Weldon thanks and welcome
I love this channel. I was among the first thousand subscribers!
+Kshitij Misra thanks
Just found your channel, Dude your voice is so soothing 😂
im glad i found this channel it combines my love of space and games and its fun and educational
+Mylis Cartwright thanks
This was one of your cooler ideas.. IMO obviously :)
good job good job, 10k, the channel is doing so good
+Julian Phipps thanks
I Declare Shenanigames it's funny that only 3 days later your almost at 13k
I Declare Shenanigames it's funny that only 3 days later your almost at 13k.
I love this channel because it uploads all my favourite types of videos while I can understand him because he is Irish ☘️🇮🇪
An idea for a future video, flip the Solar System. Put Pluto where Mercury is, Neptune where Venus is, Uranus where Earth is, Saturn where Mars is, and so on. Obviously, going on that, Jupiter would be left alone. So maybe you could just leave Pluto out. Whichever way you do it, would be interesting to see what would happen. Also, make it to where the moon's stay put, just the planets change place.
Not enough Mercuries, "needs more cowbell" (old Saturday Night Live reference) :-)
Hey, just so you know, there an option to see the habitable zone for every star you put. Click it and you it highlights the habitable zone around any star. Its in the view option, then click zone.
Lovely video! Love your accent! Keep it up!
7:37 pause the vid and go to Venus and look how close they almost crash. If they got close or did the roche may have gone on. They got super close, thankfully they didn't crash :)
Well, the habitable zone is actually a SPHERE around the sun, so, you could use the unused part of the goldilocks zone.
Pluto does have an atmosphere. It actually snows nitrogen there.
congratulations on 10 thousand subscribers
+TheRandomshite123 thanks
TheRandomshite123 | lmao
Congrats on 10K! 🎉🎉🎊🍰🍪 (I know I'm late)
thank you
I Declare Shenanigames Np ;)
You've done several direct impacts of planets together. What about glancing impacts, like the one believed to create the earth moon system?
-36 degrees earth was colder than Pluto at that point . get out the winter socks Fo sho g haha
Love the way you say "Mawrz" LOL.
What would be really interesting is to see what the effect on Mars and Venus would be on them being in the Goldilocks zone. Also, some of the Moons of Jupiter and Saturn... Titan, Europa, Enceladus, Callisto. How Earth like could they become? Having the large gas giants in the same orbit is bound to cause chaos
A brilliant videos and just the right amount of talk...would love to see what happened if a massive black hole was just on the edge of our solar system
Thanks
well done for 10k also are u irish
+No video 250 subs Challenge thanks and I am
I Declare Shenanigames knew it 😛

+Asha Lousiee haha
suggestion video: put Jupiters mass up so high that loads of planets orbit it then they collide into each other!
Loved the war on earth simulation!!! LOL!! Nice
This channel is one of those, where ya just thumbs up, as a reflex, before it's even started. Ya know it's gonna be alright. :-P
i watched all your videos immediately after i watched 1 video XD very good content
If every planet were in the Goldilocks zone, they can hear the Goldilocks story!
I declare Shenanigans your videos are wonderful.
Thank you
absolutely hilarious. talk about having a bad day
lol..one planet after another hitting the earth and the earth is like"is that all you got brah! come at me!!"
great universe sandbox vids!!!!!
love them!
"Ooh, we got water! ... We lost water."
Yeesh, one day after your 10K sub special, you have 11.5K subs
With out watching, I predict that if you put all eight planets in the Goldilocks zone they would all crash in to each other because of their gravitational pull
... no, you should have placed the planets based upon their original alignment within the goldilocks zone - Minus the Gas Giants whose gravity will be enough to take over the original inner planets. Your example proved that. So do the inner planets within the zone, based upon their original alignments. Then see what would happen.
Love all your vids! Great work 😁
Actually Pluto has an atmosphere, as discovered by the horizon space probe.
Good job on 10K !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Chesecake 1923 thanks
It says 55k now. Woohoo you are on the road.
Youre growing fast keep the videos up!
+Ali Alkhater thanks
"We got water!...we lost water." 😂
haha
If every planet was in the Goldilocks zone, pretty much every planet would be habitable (I hadn't seen the full video I'll edit this again later)
Only 1 month and you gain 10k man you are growing fast
