There was an Anime version of the show in 2006, you should watch the series, a lot of things were changed there. You can tell the difference sense 'Powerpuff Girls Z (Ppgz)' is the anime version as long as it has that Z at the end. :)

But then later on, they made an anime version of it and they had actual Japanese names and those from the show were their hero names. This one was named 'The Power Puff Girls **Z**' The chemical that gave them their powers in the anime was labeled Z so that's why. So if you see an ***Z*** at the end of the Tittle you know it's based on the anime not the show ;-; I can try and explain it again if you still don't get it ;--;
