I have tried to buy the hammered collection and have contact VC 5 times to inquire about the hammered yellow gold vintage Alhambra bracelet. I was told on numerous occasions that they have slowed down production of this line to focus on other lines and that they do not know when they will receive such items in the USA. My SA said the waitlist is two years.
I have been told they slowed down production too (despite RISING demand… i bet to create more hype/desire UGH 😩)… I’m going to message my SA in a little bit but i am dying to complete my collection… SO MAD 😡 and sad I missed out on the hammered gold pendant FML, worst timing ever silly work meeting… 🙃 I wish you luck in getting this collection, it is SO pretty and IMO underrated compared to Guilloche…. 2 year wait list is just way too long….!! *cries* THANK you for sharing!! While I was on the waiting for the guilloche earrings I was offered the RG hammered ones and I declined, I also saw that in hammered they are showing more pieces on the RG than the YG. Personally I am not a fan of the hammered collection overall unless is the bracelet in YG but I have noticed, that VCA pieces are getting more and more difficult to get, wish you all the best finding your pieces!
@@je-suis_Tati Oooh I didn't know that the hammered gold was being made more in rose gold than yellow... Which is a shame because I prefer yellow gold... Plus hermes jewelry is moving towards mostly rose gold too so I want them to be more different or else everything will be the same hue/material... I really want the 5 motif bracelet and am on the waitlist for one but my gosh it sure is taking forever and a day... Def in bracelet i can see the hammered gold being a good pick (biased cuz i like the look), especially since i bang around and smack and hit my wrists against literal walls and doorframes all the time (why... again... why do i do that),,, Thank you so much!! Ohmygod the outro is too cute. The earrings look gorgeous on you, I don't see myself obsessing about scratches, but I'd probably prefer to have my first piece low maintenance so hammered gold might be the way! thank you for the through review!
Guilloche is very hardy. I own both the yellow and white gold pendant necklaces and not a single scratch on them. The earrings especially shouldn't be prone to scratches since it's on your ears and away from any hard surfaces. The bracelet however, I would advise against it if you tend to baby your jewelry.
Oooh thank you for sharing this information! I don't baby my jewelry at all, quite the opposite, which is why I'm leaning towards hammered gold (i also love the antique look a lot) so i can just wear it constantly without worry or thinking about it at all. Great video! Personally I agree with everything you said except for one point as I can tell you from experience. I own the MOP and yellow gold Guilloché vintage sizes. For the guilloche, since they are earrings, you won’t see much scratches unless you drop them on the floor 😅 or always take them off and throw them anywhere and still it’s hard because they are earrings. I can tell you, they are stunning IRL and sparkle beautifully way more than the hammer 😢. As per size, 💯 agree vintage is the perfect size, but I like you would like one pair of magics to add to my collection. I heard the magic are stunning but too heavy to wear more than a few hours at the time, as per the vintage, you can wear them everyday all day without feeling desperate to take them off 😂. One thing I would add, jewelry is meant to be worn and bring joy to those wearing them, the more scratches the more stories and history in them 😉
OMG WHY DID YOU TELL ME THIS!! Kidding... LOL but that def makes Guilloche more attractive... My SA was saying that too... Maybe in a pendant for me instead of earrings... Because... Embarrassing, but i will say - I am THE person that has dropped my Van Cleef earrings 130384 times AND broke the post OFF it... How... I'm not 100% sure 🥲 Had it repaired but even then embarrasing to explain how that even happens LOL🙊 So I guess I am the 1% that can't keep even the hardest to scratch items unscratched... Nevermind scratches the dang post broke LOL 😹😹😹I want a single motif vintage alhambra pendant next I think and now the hunt or decision making (and yeah to be honest... the waiting...) begins!! Also, I have watched tons of reviews on guilloché pieces and people say even wearing them 24/7 the pieces don’t scratch as easy UNLESS you were them with other Cartier bracelets 😉. Definitely if you suffer with scratches then guilloché lines or Cartier non pave pieces are not for you lol. Enjoy your beautiful items, and my pleasure to support!
