How fun! I have a “knob no more” just finishing up his first year. Great video. We have grown to love Charleston over this last year.
Thanks for watching and congratulations to your cadet. I still distinctly remember the moment I became an upperclassman. My brother will become The Citadel's Professor of Military Science next year so if your cadet is an Army student, he/she will have an indirect Luv Subbin connection!
@@LuvSubbin He is! He is 4 year Army ROTC scholarship.
@@AnnMarieMelendrez That's awesome! If your son gets a chance to take a course offered by COL James Collins, I would highly recommend it. I cannot guarantee he'll get an "A", but I can guarantee he will get incredible learnings from an outstanding officer and leader.
A fun video! Class of ‘88! You just made us feel old. We graduated (and married) in 1983. 41 years in a couple of weeks. Thanks Luv Subbin!
Thanks for watching! Believe me, walking around my alma mater made me feel like a total geezer that I used to make fun of as a cadet...
Tailgating and taking a leak in the parking lot. Classic! 😂😂
Thanks guys! Yes, that sausage taking a leak was crazy. The tailgating experience was not what we expected. Maybe next time we need to pay for parking where the action is...
Maybe. . . . 😆@@LuvSubbin
Thanks for the video!! Lima class 2021
Thanks for watching! Hopefully it brought back some memories. Things certainly have changed since I was there in the '80's...
We wear the ring.
Peace.Honor.God.Country
Thanks for watching! Yes, we wear the ring. One of the great lines to open a novel ever (except perhaps The Martian by Andy Weir).
Great video! Always enjoy watching Charleston-centric episodes. Especially since Charleston is in the greatest state in the union! Safe travels.
Hi Mike! Thanks for watching. As I pen these words, we are in one of the Top 2 states in the country. We are currently in Barnwell State Park near Aiken. Tomorrow, we will tow to Sesquicentennial State Park outside of Columbia to taste some bar-b-que. We love the Palmetto State!
@@LuvSubbin wow, I just saw a post that you guys visited The Wright Life! Two of our favorite UA-camrs in one spot! Enjoy some Carolina BBQ and safe travels.
I was a knob in Lima company when this was filmed
Thanks for watching and congrats on completing your knob year! The next three years will be awesome so make the most of it.
Big L Tough as Hell!!! 2L1
“Tf is big ****** with gold teeth”
We have a Rodney Scott’s here in Birmingham. Great to see your old stomping grounds although more modern and updated. Safe travels
Thanks Cotton Tales! It is always fun to go back. We're in Georgia have just picked up the Sub for our 2024 adventures. We're looking forward to tasting some more bar-b-que...
Great tour and insight!
Thanks for watching! I was a little disappointed that The Citadel's Public Affairs Office did not return my request for additional access. Maybe someday...
Grew up a few blocks from there. My high school is just down the street. Hampton park, right there; favorite. Cousin graduated from there in 1990.
Thanks for watching! We love Charleston and heading back to The Citadel. I graduated in '88 so was there when your cousin was...
@@LuvSubbin His name is Oscar Douglas
Great video, Rich! Looks like my Golf Balls haven't changed. LOL! I didn't make the 35th, but hope to see you at the 40th! Go Dogs!!
Thanks for watching! We'll be there for the 40th as well. Next time we'll tailgate with the Class...
I’m team ldr Rayack my names on that board glad you visited
Thanks so much for watching and it's great to have a fellow Hotel Heller watching our videos. Enjoy your upper class years at El Cid. They go by fast and you only get to do it once... Oh, I almost forgot. You need to get some knobs to subscribe to Hotel Company's most famous UA-camr!
Hi. I'm Class of 1984/Band Company. Was never into drinking, etc. Never been to Big Johns....nor even the old Ark.
Thanks for watching! We just missed each other. I arrived on campus in August of 1984.
I talked to a Guy 2 days ago Hugh Middleton, Hotel Company. Said he was 55 Years old.. Got to be close to you!!
Thanks for watching! I might have been on Battalion Staff by then and just missed him in Hotel. Still, much respect for those from that era...
Echo 2027!
Outstanding! We in Hotel Hell always had the most respect for Stalag Echo (which I assume it can't be called that anymore). Have fun at El Cid. The time will fly so enjoy being an upperclassman.
Boot!
Thanks for watching! I think the military calls it Boot; The Citadel used to call it Hell Week. Now it's called something much nicer...
@@LuvSubbin 😂😂😂
WHY are you saying the dorm room is "SUPER NICE"? It's arguably the WORST and SMALLEST dorm room I've EVER seen, and is a DUMP compared to what you would find at the Naval Academy or West Point
Thanks for watching and I'm sorry you disagree with my assessment which I stand by. Regarding USMA or USNA, I will totally agree with you. In fact, I'll go a step beyond and say that every single one of their facilities is better than The Citadel's. The DoD has a pretty decent budget compared to a state college...
