Solomon Souza continues FN Souza’s artistic legacy in Goa | Sun Sand & Celebs | Gomantak Times |

Solomon Souza, the grandson of the legendary Goan artist FN Souza, journeyed to Goa to commemorate his late grandfather's centenary.
In this special edition of Sun Sand & Celebs, he shares his cherished memories and the invaluable artistic teachings passed down to him by FN Souza, a pivotal figure in Indian art history and the founding member of the Bombay Progressive Artists' Group.
Solomon fondly reminisces about his earliest experiences with art and discusses his ongoing project-a mural paying tribute to Libia Lobo Sardesai. Libia, renowned for initiating the Voice of Freedom broadcasts during Goa’s liberation period, celebrates her 100th birthday this May.
Furthermore, Solomon expresses his deep affection for Panjim, where he has adorned the cityscape with more than 5 captivating murals.
These murals feature esteemed personalities such as Sonia Shirsat, Mary D’souza Sequeira, Dilip Sardesai, Angelo Da Fonseca, Seraphino Antao, and others. He also speaks about a mural he collaborated on with the Chelsea Foundation, featuring sports figures who perished in the Holocaust.
Spending most of his time in Israel and London, Solomon underscores the critical importance of global peace. Solomon stresses the need for Goa to actively support and appreciate artists during their lifetimes, rather than waiting until it's too late.

No, Solomon Souza got chased away after being exposed. Goans in London found out from his mother's birth certificate that his mother Karen is really the biological daughter of his grandmother Liselotte Kristian's husband Richard Sidwell, she changed her surname to Souza years later. Liselotte Kristian was also never F N Souza's "second wife" or "common law partner", F N Souza remained married to his Goan wife Maria Figueiredo during the affair with Liselotte. ("Common law relationship" isn't legally possible if there's an existing marriage.) Karen has never been married, nobody knows from which father this Solomon has come from, but there's nothing Indian or Goan about him. For some reason, Indian media is pushing these two British-Israelis on Goans.
