The squig reminds me the old warhammer illustrations: a mixture of goofines and caricatures. For the colour you could try an orange, for a rambling pumpkin of death.
Hell yeah, I’m loving sculpting old school style stuff at the moment (equal parts for the love of the aesthetic and because modern stuff would be impossible for me 😄), but orange pumpkin squigs would be awesome too - potential Halloween idea there
Thank you Cerise, definitely getting a bit better at sculpting now but still got a long way to go 😁 glad you like it though and I hope Tabasco did too!!
Nice one, very nice. In future, good straps are achieved with 12 gauge copper wire. Get three strands of it and twist it round and round and eventually you'll have something that looks like a rope. It's good since you can bend it into shape and it will stay in shape.
For the reigns you could try heating up some thin strips of plasticard to get that look of leather strips, and use that as a base to sculpt buckles on.
That’s a good shout actually, some of the thinner stuff would bend quite easily too so it’d look fairly natural, credit to you if I try it out, and thanks for watching!
Looks awesome, I bet it was fun to make! I've got a set of Squighog Boyz to make up, but after that I'm definitely tempted to try and make some with my air dry clay. Or maybe some Squigbotz with plasticard panels 🤔
Yeah this one might have been the most fun to make so far, really enjoyable! Hell yeah, give it a go man, that sounds sick too would you use the plasticard as armour? Post some pics on your insta if you do so I can snoop for some inspiration 😏 hope you’re good though man!
What about two or three space marine flight packs, turned into a hoverboard? Heck, add a big tower shield, so there is something to stand on. Surfs up, dude. Add say two HMG's, a assault rifle with underslung grenade launcher, a twin barreled shotgun with a chainsword or so. The other one would be somekinda land-yacht, using the wind to move around, quietly.
When you say "you messed up the proces and it took a long time" etc about sculpting the squig, how long do you think that actually took? Because watching miniature channels it's sometimes really hard to gauge that sort of thing (which is why I really appreciate you sharing that stuff btw) As for the reigns: maybe some really thin actual rope like in old lego sets? covered in a thin layer of hobby glue that sounds like it could work
Hey dude! I did the squig over a few days as I had to let the green stuff / milliput cure properly between each coat so hard to give an exact time but I’d estimate maybe like 15-20 hours of actual work time, if I were to do it again it could probably be half that though 😄 Yeah I like that idea actually so might give it a go next time, thanks for watching!

Hahaha I like the way you think, the idea of a heavily armed/armoured squig is pretty cool actually, wonder if I can make a giant squig into a tank….
I prefer otters floating on their backs while badgers are dancing on the otters' bellies...river dancing, of course...
Ahhh the old badger-otter river dance, a man of culture I see! Thank you for watching my man!
@@SwampRatMiniatures always up for riparian entertainments of the weasel variety!

Squig
Indeed
Fan-squig-tastic! Say no to plastic. :) It just rhymed so I had to.
Hahaha thank you my friend, appreciate it!! Is that an AoE sprite as your display pic? Slightly too small for me to tell, think I need glasses 😄
