We appreciate your approachable style while learning about wine. We're back for our 2nd year and we decide if we'd like white or red and then pull a bottle from the box, find the appropriate episode, and learn about that particular wine. Thank You! We'd love some general tips about what foods would pair with each bottle, too! .... Cheers!

We are still in our 2021 box lol We have 4 more to go! We are a bit behind. We've also bought 2022 and are looking forward to your vids. Thanks for labeling and putting it on a play list. We are pairing the wines with dinner. Love this! ♥️

Excited to get 2022 started! After having such fun last year we’ve gotten the whole family involved this year and everyone has their own box. Can’t wait to see how you incorporate the cheeses but we have to say the fam is stoked to learn how to pair wines with food.
The cab was a good one for them to start with. Very approachable and solid. Our score was about the same as yours but we couldn’t smell any particular notes in the aroma. We’ll see how pairing it with cheese will change/ not change the flavor.
Thanks for the comment - no spoiler but....the cheese box is super fun to have along with the wines because wine and food (cheese) really do make each other better. Tasting the wines alone is a bit clinical. Tasting the wines with the cheese does significantly improve the experience! Anyway - thanks for traveling along again and for all your support.
Like your wife said, I think this was drinkable for sure. I agree with you saying that usually a good cab makes you crave another sip. This one isn't like that. But it was nice to sip on while watching your vid 🙂

I'm playing catch up. I guess I was a little harsh on it. (6,5,4,4,6)>76 @ 63F. I thought it was rough around the edges with sour tannins and had a slight hint of musty barrel. It did come around a bit after about 10 minutes in the glass, but overall not to my liking. My tasting skills do need some work though. Thanks for the free class.
Oh, I like knowing your scores. Nice. Now the game is to try to maintain, as best as you can, objectivity across the wines. This is difficult if you've never tasted a wine style or variety but thinking about the components will eventually lead to more sophisticated reasoning and recognition of quality wine. Regarding the class, you are welcome and you've got another 23 to watch! Cheers.
Hi. We bought the 2022 wine advent calendar here in Costco in Sarasota, FL but our day number one wine is totally different. It is Kiwi Cuvée Pinot Grigio. My friend here got the same one as me so we don’t know why ours is different than yours. Bummer.
Ah! This happened last year too.Sometimes they run out of a bottle and then substitute another one in. You can check the order here: www.wineadvent-ure.com. That is a bummer though. Did you score the Pinot Grigio anyway? Hopefully tomorrow's wine will be the same.

Although our Day One wrong wine also had a screw top so maybe the cheap versions are here in Florida and Minnesota is getting the good stuff. Ha. We did not score like you did since your legitimate system is too much work. We just score 1 to 5. Lol.
@@sunsationalsix I don't think screwtop = cheap to be honest. But I did hear there are two different boxes floating around. Not sure if that's true or not.
@@sunsationalsix I've got nothing against screw caps in fact they've certainly got a place for preserving fruity wines and when that is the motivation, they do a better job than a cork. Also, I encourage you to try to use my scoring system, it's not that hard, you can do it. Anyway it's just a 1-5 with and additional 6,7,8,9,and 10. 😀
