- After surviving The Long Dark for 500 Days on Stalker mode...it's time to try the same on Interloper. There will be no firearms, looted hatchets or knives. We must make our own defenses and tools in order to survive this self-imposed challenge. It's time to see if we achieve victory or die a horrible death like everyone else on Great Bear Island.

The Long Dark Interloper is the hardest mode in Sandbox mode (The other difficulties are Pilgrim, Voyager and Stalker). The game describes that this mode is "For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness Survival challenge."
In The Long Dark Interloper difficulty, you start with the most minimal resources, supplies are very scarce and Wildlife is rare, but it is more dangerous
- Interloper was a new game difficulty, introduced in v.364.
- The world becomes more hostile to you as you play. Global temperature drops, wildlife and fuel resources become more scarce, and Blizzards become more frequent.
- Apart from the Hacksaw and Hammer, which spawn rarely in the world, you need to create all your own improvised tools (ex. Hatchets, Knives, etc.).
- The best Clothing and Food items do not spawn.
- Wolves are more rare, but also more deadly.
- Wildlife becomes more rare over time.
- There are no firearms in the world.

Next move should be to go to Ash Canyon and get the backpack. Finding a moose on the way there would be good as well.
Clothing and carrying capacity is clearly an area of need to address.
Yeah you should definitely make the improvised crampons! They’re very easy to craft and they’re almost as good as the ones you can find in Ash Canyon.

You need ptarmigens for broth to make stews. Most of the recipes are very worth making if you end up getting the ingredients for them they are great for travel food
You can get out without the rope goat down Milton Basins through FM to ML. And you can get into Milton without rope. Goat down before first rope and go left of second rope goat down a bit to a ledge hug the wall round till you get to bottom of Milton nearer too the farm.
I was playing earlier today and had a weird duplication glitch myself. I was in coastal highway and checking for loot on the shore. I saw a body next to 3 fish, I had to keep going back and forth since the ice was breaking. There was an axe, 3 fish, and a line. I got all of them and they were all duplicated. so I got 6 fish, 2 axes, and 2 lines. Yep, way too much to carry, had to leave the fish behind once I picked them up but I will go back for them. I thought you would like to know.
Are u not playing with scurvey cause didnt notice if not great but if u do fish is best cure from it. Also easy way kill wolf is walk back wards it forces them come straight at u most the times. Always a great video.And god when u said wife kids getting hair cuts that to me back to remebering when my kids use to

you unloaded soooo much stuff but still haul 1.5 kg of cattails around... i mean, yeah emergency food and stuff but you have 27 of them... i think thats a little excessive isnt it? and of course the amount of coffee... maybe im a little stingy about it cause i dont like coffee but... yeah. weight matters for this type of hauling job. also with how much meat you have available you may should start working towards well fedd? the days of rationing are over. of course for a cooking session or stuff it doesnt matter but for hauling operations or hunting... additional capacity and health are never a bad thing.

just noticed... you can now break down campfires... thats nice. having thousands of campfires spreaded around the island... yeah... they should despawn naturally but better then letting sooo many of them around.

I have a lot of meat in very specific places. So when I go out adventuring, when well fed is needed the most for loot usually, that’s when it isn’t readily available. Glad you’re enjoying the series. I need to find a moose and get a satchel. But I haven’t mastered the moose hunting dance and broken ribs suck so bad…so 🤷♂️
@@Accurize2 i feel like you want everything too fast. you say you want a moose satchel, but you dont work towards it by leveling archery and stockpiling arrows (and food for the waiting game)
you said you want to level fishing but what is fishing good for? except lantern oil and small amounts (compared to a bear or a moose) of food?
you said you want to do beach combing but whats the point if you dont have the capacity to get your stuff back to mystery lake? unless you want to move to costal eitherways which also requires a satchel and maybe well fed to make it happen in a reasonable amount of time.
yes, you have a lot of time (about 400 days) but i think focusing on archery mastery, a satchel and a stockpile of food for the well fed bonus is the way to go at this point. especially if you want to move, do looting or go forging.
