At the end of the day, Muzan is a coward. That's how his character is defined. He flees, he hides, he blames others for his problems, he's terrified of his own death. Fear drives every decision he makes.
And on top of that he wants to act like he's all that due to being the patriarch of the Demons. So of course he's gonna go after the Slayer Corps leader, but only when there is 0% chance that leader can actually fight back.
Ngl, after watching this, I now see even further just how much of a f***ing goober Muzan is. What's even worse is that from what I've heard, the Blood Demon Art that was used to immobilize him was from the random mf that Muzan turned into a demon ghoul to distract Tanjiro in order to escape and became nothing but an after thought until now, after getting help from what's-her-face (Muzan's female demon opp, and I forgot her name), and hitting Muzan with the craziest spin back oat I can see how most of the decisions he made would bite his ass to the utmost, especially when getting rid of like 5+ arcs worth of demons (the lower ranks)

Acting as the devil advocate here, the only slayer that gave muzan trouble was yoriichi, and after the dude died of old age he made kokushibo hunt every other sun breather, and then, the demon corps wasnt a problem to him since his objective was finding the damn flower to finish his medicine, he only started working to end the demon corp after one of his uppermoons died, which they were unchanged for more than 100 years, and well muzan was a smart guy but not a wise one, like he was an asshole and premature guy in his human years.

" why didn't he sent someone stronger then ": for the same reason. And he didn't kill the hashiras because he doesn't know where they are. 2" he doesn't do anything": we literally see him doing research on the blue spider lily most of the times he is on scene, and he doesn't care that much about the demon slayers to go after them himself 3" he shouldn't have gone to ubuyashiki's house, he should've waited" : through out Kagaya's command 3 upper moons have been defeated, of course he wanted to meet him (and kill him), plus no he didn't know he was sick he literally says so when they meet 4" he got jumped" lol so?? Your 4th point makes no sense, the drugs hadn't even taken effect at that point, had he just had nakime take all of them to the same room he could've just killed them all within one chapter, but he let them all get split up which led to him being weakened and dying. First off, I absolutely love your videos! Muzan stayed true to his formidable style, luring everyone into a fight before they were prepared. If he hadn’t done that, they might have had time to train and naturally surpass the moons more easily. By manipulating them into an emotional fight, he caused them to falter. The slayers, lacking a strategy, plunged into battle recklessly. Muzan’s sole objective was to eliminate them all, which turned out to be the perfect strategy. Tanji was the only reason they survived
Nah the only reason they survived was Spoiler The fucking poison Tamayo mad him absorb so Tamayo and Shinobu (because thry were botth together to do this poison) are the goat who saved everyone
Tbf, due to Muzan almost completing his goal of immortality (as all he has to do is absorb Nezuko), he wanted to go to Ubuyushiki to brag about it before he kills them, knowing that there’s nothing he can do about it and that he failed. (Until he didn’t)
Maybe some of you didn't watch the show and pay attention, Muzan been looking for these people for years, and he finally found the Demon Slayer Corp. the same night that he walked up in there. the thousands of eyeballs tracking multiple demon slayers is what gave him the location. He set a trap to teleport every single demon slayer available to the infinity castle, so he can wipe EVERYONE out at once. then go get Nezuko. As a Demon Slayer fan, I can’t help but notice that there are plot holes for Muzan’s character and his actions. He’s supposed to be most intelligent of the entire demons, but then he makes some questionable decisions like: why didn’t he just kill Tanjiro when they first met at Season 1? Or why didn’t he just send a powerful Upper Moon to kill Tanjiro earlier if Muzan was aware Tanjiro was connected to *that* man who almost slayed him long ago? People can argue that its his “cowardice” that holds him back because of his PTSD but there are just some situational moments in the plot that it just doesn’t feel like that. It feels more like lazy and unfinished writing. Oh well, I do acknowledge that Demon Slayer isn’t the best at writing its story and characters. I’ll just be grateful that we have a series like this for once in a lifetime:) One main thing that hooked me into the series was that it had a big heart. 2:42 - 2:49 NAHHHHH 💀💀😭😭
well he is smart, not wise, he didnt kill tanjiro because he didnt wanted people to know he is a demon cause the dude actually wants to live a normal life, like he was having families and selling gyokko pots just to get money and buy stuff, and he didnt send an uppermoon because he though a demon of lower moon or less power would be enough, and it almost were, but tamayo saved him and he didnt where she was so theres that. and then he did sended an uppermoon to kill him, the train arc was literally akazas mission to kill tanjiro, that was muzan was so pissed he fooled around and didnt killed him, akaza even said he killed a hashira and muzan said: thats the minimun you should and that wasnt even what i told you to do which was killing the kid with the hanafuda earings.
1. Last time he underestimated a red haired person with a "birthmark" on their forehead and hanafuda earrings, it didn't go so well for him. The best option was to get away 2. He sent the fodder demons to gauge Tanjiro's power level, if it was another Yoriichi like entity, Muzan would just hide in the shadows for a hundred years like he did waiting for Yoriichi to die. In the event it is a Yoriichi level slayer, sending an upper moon would just mean you lose an upper moon😂

And given that his defining trait is that he's a huge narcissist who crashes out at the slightest perceived insult, getting humiliated is what he deserves.
Muzan is basically just a Michael Jackson cosplayer who pretends to be deep while having the writing of a saturday morning cartoon villain... And people glaze him because "he has aura"🤦♂️
Another thing. I read a comment somewhere that after all that time he was looking for that blue plant, cus he killed the one man who knew about it at the time, until he found Tanjiro's family who he kills. Problem is, Tanjiro's family (his mom i think) also knew all about the plant and where it was. So he unknowingly fumbled the bag for himself, TWICE!😂

spoiler for infinity castle i just wanna say that it infuriates me how little muzan utilised nakima beyond 'big castle as hideout hehe'. her ability is so fucking broken considering it's basicslly todo's cursed technique but on absolute steroids + a domain expansion. nakima could have stationed all the upper moons in one room and send the slayers into that room one by one. we could have kept sanemi and obanai when they first fell into the castle there and catch the corp off-guard by culling those two. but no, ofc we don't do that! bc that would mean muzan has a semblence of competence up there. tldr: he should have absolutely obliterated all the hashira by just using nakima correctly, but idiot armour ofc
@RoyceTerrence-i9o oh yeah it was obanai, mb, I will correct that. ik it's not manga canon bc I read the manga. but point still stands; why add something so useless just to 'wow factor' the audience with it?
6:18, Ubiyashiki was able to talk that mad shit because he got that top tier wife and kids willing to go with him to the grave just to fuck with a clown that has been so hugely afraid of dying he's hid himself for thousands of years until he thought it was time to gloat.. You really can't get much more of a W than that, what's that saying, a coward dies a thousand deaths before they actually die?
I'm like, 80% sure Muzan didn't know Ubuyashiki was on his death bed before he pulled up to his crib. I think he pulled up because he saw the Biwa Lady was done mapping out and locating the demon slayer crew and Ubuyashiki's hide out. Also, the problem of Muzan coming to confront his main OPPS on their own turf was pretty much reversed when he decided to throw everyone and their grandson into the Infinity Castle. Although... man's could have avoided getting injured and poisoned in the first place if he didn't pull up there at all... So yeah, in that case that man's ego is pretty much going to be his downfall.
Muzan doesn't need to do all the dirty work: Before his confrontation with Yoriichi Muzan himself did all the dirty work. After his near death experience he was so afraid of dying that he created the kizuki to do his work for him while he went into hiding. That is why he doesn't do anything significant and appears lazy. He gaslights and manipulates the other demons (especially the kizuki) to prevent them from teaming up against him. He would still beat every other demon since he is still the strongest out there despite his lazy demeanor. He is convinced that no other than Yoriichi can defeat him.
That actually explains a lot, tbh. He can't let the Upper Moons do their job with proper organization, because then they might be strong enough to usurp him. He thinks he has to divide and conquer in order to stay in control. And that makes him and his forces weak.
3:20 Theyre from the same family line or something. But having a demon on your family line is like an instant curse so the ubuyashiki heads never lived that long cause they got Demon AIDS. They married priest daughters or something to try and fight it but it only expanded their lives to like 30 years or something so they wanna kill Muzan badly 💀
Muzan being a terrible villain was intentional on the authors part, to showcase how much of a coward he is. I love Muzan he’s one of my favourite characters but I also live for his slander >>>>
In the defense of Muzan, he’s not supposed to be a deep or Machiavellian character. The Demon Slayer manga is supposed to be read like a Japanese folktale in a time just before industrialization and modernization envelops the nation. The last thing that ties their world to the old and traditional are the lingering existence of demons, a blight and parasite on their land. The breathing techniques are supposed to be imagery of text given form, such as “his blade was as gentle yet powerful as an ocean’s wave”, or “his sword struck with such ferocity, their movement as wild as flame itself, burned its grace into the enemy’s and my own gaze”, things like that. This ties into Muzan as like a folktale, the enemy isn’t someone we should be sympathetic with, nor do they need some reason to justify their descent or actions, they’re just a blight that must die, an evil persistent asshole. The tale of Susanoo give some lore and explanation to Orochi, but more or less, it’s just a giant storm conjuring monstrous snake that likes drinking and killing women. There’s no personal character depth, just an object threat that hinders the peace of others. And that’s what Muzan is, a simple basic monster that just needs to die. Shuten Doji wasn’t some tragic figure that justified its actions, it was a demon that just loved killing and drinking. And Muzan is more or less the same, a self-serving demon that kills for the hell of it just because it finds _things_ annoying and bothersome. Villains don’t need to be complex, they can just be a folk-legend type of monster. Paul Bunyan’s enemy was a chainsaw and John Henry’s was a literal train. Symbols for their story but not actual individual characters that needed some back story or scheme to justify their presence. It’s just there, and the “hero” needs to do something about it. Muzan works as a folktale villain, and it fits the narrative and themes of Demon’s Slayer. Because he’s nothing more and nothing deeper than what he already is, a selfish demon that needs to be killed. Muzan isn’t even trying to “outsmart” them, because he doesn’t see them as equals worth his attention, he’s so self-centered that his generational threat is only perceived to him as annoying gnats, which causes him to ignore their actual threat. And that fits the traditional generic image of a “demon”, a being that’s much stronger than humans and can’t perceive being beaten by their own food and any demon that does is simply “weak” or “pathetic”. It irritates him to even use their name as it implies recognition. Like most folktale villains, they either represent evil itself, caution to change, or the threat of stagnation. The world can’t grow unless the threat is gone. And that’s Muzan. Japan’s age of mystics and folk legends that center on the looming existence of demons can’t end and modernize until “demons” are extinct and fade into myth. Humanity is able to grow and modernize, focus on itself, and breathing styles become traditional dances passed down in temples. But a kinder world where humans can’t even fathom the existence of demons is realized, and even flourishes. Funnily enough, this imagery and connection to traditional folk-myth, is made harder to express BECAUSE of the anime’s top quality visuals. Because of that, we expect MORE from Muzan to meet the bar the anime raised. Which all leads to the current opinion on Muzan. TL;DR Muzan is just a piece of shit, and that’s all he really needs to be to fit Demon Slayer’s folktale-ish narrative. No Machiavellian master plan, no deep thematic sob story to justify or sympathize with him. Just a full blown arrogant and selfish douche bag that ruins other people’s lives just by existing.
That’s what the whole talk him and Ubuyashiki have is about. No matter what, Muzan will ALWAYS be a detriment to himself. He will always have enemies. Because all he does is fuck with people. And when you fuck with enough people, THEY FIGHT BACK. It probably wouldn’t have even mattered if he did win, because they need humans to consume to live, so there’s no getting rid of them, and there’s no way to not piss off humanity. He acts high class and stylish and cold and calculating…but he’s also an egotistical arrogant GOOBER.

Ngl, after watching this, I now see even further just how much of a f***ing goober Muzan is.
What's even worse is that from what I've heard, the Blood Demon Art that was used to immobilize him was from the random mf that Muzan turned into a demon ghoul to distract Tanjiro in order to escape and became nothing but an after thought until now, after getting help from what's-her-face (Muzan's female demon opp, and I forgot her name), and hitting Muzan with the craziest spin back oat
I can see how most of the decisions he made would bite his ass to the utmost, especially when getting rid of like 5+ arcs worth of demons (the lower ranks)

Addressing the actual arguments in the video:
1" he should've killed tanjiro and the others" : tanjiro could be as strong as yoriichi, he had no way to know . " why didn't he sent someone stronger then ": for the same reason.
And he didn't kill the hashiras because he doesn't know where they are.
2" he doesn't do anything": we literally see him doing research on the blue spider lily most of the times he is on scene, and he doesn't care that much about the demon slayers to go after them himself
3" he shouldn't have gone to ubuyashiki's house, he should've waited" : through out Kagaya's command 3 upper moons have been defeated, of course he wanted to meet him (and kill him), plus no he didn't know he was sick he literally says so when they meet
4" he got jumped" lol so?? They can do nothing to him, in fact they got lucky he sent them to the infinity castle because he was poisoned, otherwise he would've destroyed them
Yep this video is stupid in so many ways
Your 4th point makes no sense, the drugs hadn't even taken effect at that point, had he just had nakime take all of them to the same room he could've just killed them all within one chapter, but he let them all get split up which led to him being weakened and dying. He's not dumb enough to just brush off what tamayo said about the drug turning demons back into humans, he just has too much pride and chose to give the slayers time instead.
The best option was to get away
2. He sent the fodder demons to gauge Tanjiro's power level, if it was another Yoriichi like entity, Muzan would just hide in the shadows for a hundred years like he did waiting for Yoriichi to die. i just wanna say that it infuriates me how little muzan utilised nakima beyond 'big castle as hideout hehe'. her ability is so fucking broken considering it's basicslly todo's cursed technique but on absolute steroids + a domain expansion. nakima could have stationed all the upper moons in one room and send the slayers into that room one by one. we could have kept sanemi and obanai when they first fell into the castle there and catch the corp off-guard by culling those two. but no, ofc we don't do that! bc that would mean muzan has a semblence of competence up there.
tldr: he should have absolutely obliterated all the hashira by just using nakima correctly, but idiot armour ofc
Can we just admit it was bad writing
The part where sanemi & obanai ( not giyu) fell from the infinity castle is not cannon and is anime-original only.

You really can't get much more of a W than that, what's that saying, a coward dies a thousand deaths before they actually die?
Disappearing for ages and pulling up on your opps' death bed is crazy work, but almost getting killed and having people pull to your house is wild 💀
I've missed these Teddy Demon Slayer videos

It feels like the creator was trying to make his own version Dio brando but did not understand stand what makes Dio a good character
"Most of his opps, at least..." Loved that.
TL;DR
Muzan is just a piece of shit, and that’s all he really needs to be to fit Demon Slayer’s folktale-ish narrative. No Machiavellian master plan, no deep thematic sob story to justify or sympathize with him. Just a full blown arrogant and selfish douche bag that ruins other people’s lives just by existing.
The second Muzan found Demon Slayer HQ he should’ve sent all the remaing upper moons and his army.
He acts high class and stylish and cold and calculating…but he’s also an egotistical arrogant GOOBER.
muzans motivation be like:
"i wanna kill everybody. İ hate everything"
"why?"
"idk"
It cuz he's a demon he's jus like that
The only thing they did right about this Micheal Jackson clone was the drip 🙏
Never took him seriously when his worst enemy keeps giving him PTSD.
Spoiler for manga:
Don’t even talk to me about his big fucking baby transformation, the ending to this manga was just garbagio
It wasn't. You just don't like that Muzan wasn't a generic aura merchant like Sukuna 🤣
@@MelloTheAnalysist uh no I didn’t like the “power of friendship”, the mangaka wanted to make it longer then decided to cut it short, also like I was saying muzan just felt like his end was cut off abruptly and it dragged when he infected tanjiro. Everything up till that last 40 chapters or so was great but man those last 40 chapters really ruined it for me
@@Msooab Muzan's end was built up perfectly. And "power of friendship" isn't a valid critique here. Characters are allowed to work together 😭
@@MelloTheAnalysist your missing the part where taniiro resisted demon transformation because of his friends that’s what I mean by the power of friendship, also it’s your opinion man I’m just sharing mine
@@Msooab wtf are you on about 😭 he was literally injected with a cure. It was solely because of "the power of friendship". We did not read the same manga.
Like I get the idea is that behind all that power is a pathetic man who's just afraid to die, but still.
Teddy dropped! Let’s goooo🔥🔥🔥
I don't often lose my shit but i absolutely lost my shit when he said " Muzan was basically ptsd'd into inaction, so he spent the rest of his days enlisting other demons to do his chores out of the fear that he might one day live to see another ass whoopin."
I don't really understand all the talk about him being a bad villain cause he got caught off guard or "cornered", like the guy literally smiled and caught them off guard, he didnt die or get close to death, he is just a very strong person who underestimated a very weak person.
YES, THE OG HAS ARRIVED TO GIVE US A VIDEO
A nonchalant dread head😂
Honestly, whenever Muzan crossed my mind for any reason, my biggest question was "What can this guy DO?"
Imagine my disappointment when the answer was literally "TENTACLES".
forgetting that tanjiro isnt just the mc but a tier 5 crashout
He's like Thanos, sitting on his throne until Infinity War.
