Love the idea of assign each set of circle to each instrument and on top of that, they are not overlapping each other too but project independently. Reminds me of old school rave!
Awesome video! Second time I turned off the lights and didn't watch the screen, but just the ceilings. Awesome! I had my own light show, just from a Macbook Air!!!
the dot animations were created in Flash and then projected on a wall and filmed. the video was then edited in Ableton and made to be in time with the music. voila!
1989?... they conjour old skool noises and melodic progressions to a quite new effect, tracks didn't have that dirty bump in '89, and that vocal is warm and morally ambiguous, what better for the dance floor.... (foo')
Plain and simple... They like the vocals (I like the vocals), hence the vocals... IF you don't like it, write your own music and refrain from using similar vocals.
Actually, the album (that's the vocal-tracks only, I liked the rest already) has begun to grow on me, and especially "Off The Map" has become a personal favourite.
@CorkeyFord nail on head - except for Audacity (who's vocals were perfect) .. maybe beth ditto's vocals were cool but instrumental version would be v cool as a B side
If you are telling me this is what their live shows will be this time around, then move over Daft Punk. Seriously these men are artists and this is beautiful.
i think some people are missing the point of the video. smd has always been known for their elaborate light shows and i think this might be the direction they are headed as a live act. i guess ill find out in 10 days :)
This track ages like a fine wine
I wish they still did songs in this style.
Totaly agree with you!
🙏🏻

I'm back in the 90's !! Love it !!
Lovely use of Todd Rundgren's sampled vocals from his song 'I was born to synthesize' circa 1974. Coooooooool graphics too. Got me hopping.
This has to be my favourite music video ever. No doubt about it.
this is the live grapics. the artist has been comissioned to do the simian live lightshows.
Acid is the granddaddy and the best of all the genres
SMD make such ingenious and amazing use of light. They are truly unique in that respect, for me.
I'm a singer and that ist why I always focus on vocals. So I don't mind having this in it. :) I like it. My two cents.

This video can also be used for Optometry Examinations.
Nice
yer i like this version mrore
//Usaram um sample de uma música do Todd Rundgreen, fiz isso tambem rs.
It won't play in normal mode, but It does play in HD.
Yeah, the "WARNING THIS VIDEO CONTAINS FLASHING IMAGES!" should possibly be put at the start of the video. ng.
Yeah well, I guess I just prefer electronic music to be instrumental. But you're right, there were exceptions, "Audacity" being one of them...
fucking amazing
@Konstantin123123 i think it says this is a live version... i guess they changed it a bit
great moross
lsd !! ♥♥
long live the polka dots!

Making of Video coming Soon!
Do you people realize SMD is graced with being allowed to use a sample of Todd Rundgren? They're on two different levels completely.
In the "more info" box you should credit Todd Rundgren "I was born to synthesize"
because of the sound?! *dance*
