Babylon (2022) - 'Finale'/Cinema montage scene

The main theme in this score - Manny and Nellie's Theme - is a versatile one. In its fast, jazzy variation, it weaves through crazy orgies and frantic film sets. Then, in its fragile version, it helps highlight the bond between two of the main characters. Here, in the final shots of the film, as everything is tied up nicely with an homage to the history of cinema and visual effects, the fast version starts things off. It's a satisfying ending, despite the oddly long shots of diluting paint, and it helps smooth things over after the disjointed and sometimes disturbing third act of this ambitious saga.
