Remind me to send you info on 2 more bridges I found today that aren't on Bridgehunter. One at Caesar's Creek State Park and another near Camden, Ohio.
Sometimes I do have a signal loss or interference when going thru truss bridges like this one. I also didn't feel comfortable going thru since it is a live rail line so I just went over the top.
Although it won't answer the question about which railroad owns or uses this bridge, I was curious and checked the December, 1946 (my oldest one) Official Guide to see what railroad was in Rockwood itself. Back then the Detroit and Toledo Shore Line and the New York Central were in Rockwood. Both are listed as freight only.
@@historyinyourownbackyard2363It is The Official Railway Guide. My newest is September/October 1991 and the railroads then were Grand Trunk Western and Conrail which absorbed the 1946 railroads. The railroads now would be Canadian National and Norfolk Southern. One bridge website shows the owner as Norfolk Southern.
Thanks
You're welcome!
None of these old bridges or buildings are unexciting, love them all.

Beautiful railroad bridge! Thanks for sharing it with us!👍
You're welcome!
It’s either NYCRR or DT & I. Dates from about 1920’s
Thanks!
Check for. Builders Plate
Good point.
Do any of you engineers know what those 4 white PVC posts are for? Two at each end.
Great question!
@@historyinyourownbackyard2363 Maybe they are an indicator of seismic activity?......or that the bridge has shifted somehow? I don't know.
Good point! I honestly don't know but I'll be looking for these at other bridges now@@rael5469
@@historyinyourownbackyard2363 That's why I asked because I watch train videos and I've seen these at other railroad bridges. Hmmm?
I'll see what I can find out.@@rael5469
Another historical episode with "Satolli", his tell, drone footage and the anticipation of another future episode. Cheers, Mate.
LOL! So much more to come...
I really enjoy your channel.
Good! Glad you like the project.
Had a tyco train set that came with a bridge that looked similar to this
Cool!
Great drone video I have a DJI Mini 2 drone thanks for the video
I got my drone last summer and it's so much easier getting shots of some of these bridges. Glad you like it.
It's a pretty cool video I literally live right around the corner from it. Great channel also.
Glad you like the project!
Awesome video ! Very well done indeed !
sbf
Glad you like the video!
Nope, there are no boring truss bridges! Another fine video Satoli! And that is a nice compromise you have made with the music of your videos!
Glad you like the change.
Monroe County has some intriguing truss bridges. Another is over the River Raisin.
Yes, I plan to do a video on that bridge as well.
Pretty cool. Great idea to model. Thanks for sharing. 🚂👊🏼😎
Thanks!
I thought the drone would keep going thru the bridge. Why not? Signal loss within the metal structure?

Very nice video +1. As others have already mentioned, this is a thru-truss bridge, not a trestle bridge.
Thanks!
When I saw the thumbnail I said to myself that looks like the bridge in Rockwood. I can't recall ever seeing another one like it in metro Detroit.
Very expensive!!!
Probably so.
I wish they built the same bridge for the road next to it for a match.
Great idea!

Thanks for the info! And what guide was that?

Um. NOT D T & I. Never was. Michigan Central .New York Central. Penn Central. Conrail. And now Norfolk Southern.
There are plenty of knowlegable local people (railroad & railfans) that can help with real time infomation. So you don't have to turn to AI.
