I couldn't see the led light up, but I certainly heard a high pitched squeal as you connected the battery. Now I should probably go fit my reverse camera and new car stereo, then change the USB socket on a friends tablet. Later, though. ;)

WHERE TF DO I FIND A SCREW DRIVER SMALL ENOUGHT TO UNSCREW THE WORLDS SMALLEST SCREW THEY PUT ON THE BACK (I lost my charger years ago and I need access to the back to put new batteries)

I know I'm 3+ years late here, but I was looking for references for a genuine Nintendo Wii u pro controller and I would say the one you have in this video is also a counterfeit. The first giveaway is the unlabeled/unmarked battery, but also Nintendo doesn't leave the thru hole pins that long or use hot glue. It isn't your kids' fault it broke, just poor craftsmanship!
We already reviewed this in an earlier video as a non Nintendo part as a cheap alternative. Fortunately it's still going strong 😃
The failure was in the USB port, not the craftsmanship of the controller. A mangled USB port can easily happen with any device, genuine or not.
Is this replacement part just a female 5-pin mini USB?

shame the controllers dont have data lines they could me made too run on pc thro the lead .. lol .
+Soooperspeed I'm not sure what the official ones do, but these clones only fit Bluetooth hardware.
