Everything about your videos is so soothing and reassuring to me. Thank you for making them. This phobia is not an easy one to share with friends and family so many times I feel like I have no one to talk to when I’m feeling really overwhelmed with it. But then I listen to your videos and it’s like someone finally understands.

I'm so glad you find them helpful! No worries at all.
I know what you mean, people find it very difficult to understand if they haven't already experienced it. But that's ok, as long as they're willing to listen, that's the main thing. I would definitely recommend talking about it when you feel ready to though, it can really ease the burden, as covering up emetophobia can almost add to the anxiety of it all.
I'll be here though if you ever want to chat or vent about it! Stay strong 💕

    Thanks for the video💕
About the illness thing, yeah, when i get a panic attack i get a lot of those symtoms, such as stomach aches, nausea, chills, i start to shake a lot, i feel like i have fever but i don't. So yeah i experience many of those symptoms when i'm having a panic attack and not ill, that's why it's very hard for me to understand if it's real or something that's just in my head. Just being sure about this would calm me immediatly... I guess i'll never know.

No worries! I know what you mean, it took me years to realise there was a difference. The best way I've found to distinguish anxiety from actual illness (and it sounds obvious) is to sit and really listen to my body when I'm having an 'episode'. Once you define the feeling of one, you can familiarise yourself with it and then know the difference when something else hits you. It’s basically just mindfulness but it does help massively. My ‘intrusive thought’ video does the same thing so give it a watch if you think it may be helpful! 😊

i’d first off like to say thank you so much for making these videos. i’ve had emetophobia since 2nd grade and i’m 15 now, but im going through a particularly horrible period right now. i wanted to ask some of the other people in this comment section: does anyone else have a really difficult time recognizing nausea? i honestly don’t really know what nausea feels like because of how screwed up my mind/gut connection has gotten at this point. i always tell myself that i would know if i felt nauseas, but sometimes that isn’t enough. something that does make me feel better is that my doctor prescribed me anti-nausea pills, and when i take them i still feel what i think is nausea, which must mean it’s anxiety. but still, any time i feel anything in my stomach, i worry that it’s nausea and i cannot recognize it. does anyone feel the same or have any advice for me?

So glad you posted this video. I’m always nauseous every day and I hurt myself to distract from the pain. Hitting my chest, sinking my nails to my skin, and punching myself. I was depressed yesterday, thinking how long will I have this fear of throwing up. I do my best not to think of suicide and remember that there’s people who love me and understand me. My parents don’t but my Therapist does thankfully. He said to take medication as a last resort. If the breathing doesn’t help or exercise didn’t help he will see what medication will help me.

You're not alone there, I'd hurt myself in exactly the same way to distract! I'm sorry to hear that things are so nasty at the moment - if it's any help, I'd really recommend CBT therapy for your emetophobia, it sounds like you could really do with the extra help. You can absolutely get through this though, I've been exactly where you are (also had thoughts of suicide when things were very bad) and I PROMISE you can get better! Stay strong and I'll be here if you have any questions or just want to vent 💕

@@disturbed509 You're very lucky to do therapy, i never had the time or money for one, i'd always have to handle my problems and panic attacks on my own. I feel you and i know exactly how it is. I had to learn breathing and meditation tecniques on my own, medication that i use is a natural one and i just use it when i have extreme panic attacks, if you want to know which one i use it's valerian roots 200mg pills, you can find them in any drug store and remember things will get really better when least you expect it. You are not alone. For now find things that help you and push through! There's a beautiful life behind our problems you just have to stay focused and push through. Things will start getting better, i promise.

I just discovered this channel through the intrusive relief video and I'm so grateful. I've been having trouble around food for years now because I'm feeling nauseous so often and my stomach just can't handle a lot of food anymore. It's come to a point now that I feel uncomfortable/bloated/nauseous after almost every meal and it makes gaining weight and eating enough food to nourish myself even harder. Your videos really helped me the past two days to calm down a bit when having these feelings. I'm wondering if you have any tips on how to deal with these feelings while they're there? Like... how do I learn to accept them and ...still be okay mentally when I feel this way? Thankyou ❤️

Anyone else get different kinds of nausea? Like when i havent eaten Im not afraid of THAT kind of nausea bc i know its easily solvable, and never ends in sickness. Whereas, nausea when i have a flu or something is way more real and i cant tell if it will end up in sickness. It’s ironic, the moment (right now) I distract myself fully I dont even notice it. Makes me doubt how I feel.
Here are the things ive always done to help:
Wearing motion sickness nausea wristbands - mostly placebo but it helps me
Eating bananas and soft foods like pastas with little to no sauce
Consuming any form of mint (i cant use gum, but i always try to have mints or a literal toothbrush and toothpaste bc it provides me with some relief.)
I have a problem where I am unable to burp therefore when I do it almost simulates the reflex of being sick but my body isn’t actually trying to be since once I have burped nothing else happens besides a lingering nausea feeling.?

I just found this page at 5:30am which I haven’t slept due to nausea. It’s so soothing and calming.. really helped a lot. I have my gallbladder removed & dealt with emetophobia since I was 14 (8 years ago) and I have nausea for 17 months and occasionally now since surgery. Thank you for these helpful videos
