I love the feeling of dangerous exploration I get from a good soulslike, but I’ve never played an extraction shooter because of a personal dislike of griefers. But this one really has my attention. Looks super interesting and that the PVP stuff might not be overwhelming. 🤞🤞I plan to give it a try. Great video!
Tarkov is what turned me away from the genre. I loved the dark zone in the division and other games that are not super sweaty and this game scratches that itch too
It is interesting for sure! Like I said in video like it is an extraction shooter and I know the genre itself is still doing its best it can be especially trying to deter away from the giant that is Escape from tarkov.
The shooting feels not bad, and the concept is pretty good, but it feels unpolished in many aspects from the open beta. Considering there are not much people aware of the game due to lack of promotion (you just can't find people talking about it any where) and Bandai's recent record of shutting down live service games early, unfortunately I have a bad feeling that this one may also get shut down under a year. I hope I'm wrong and this game turns out to be a blast because I'm really interested in the game and want to try some anime extraction shooter instead of military ones.
Blue protocol definitely is one of those anime games who didnt get a chance to see the light of the day! I like to stay positive when it comes to new games hopefully it gets more attention and love from bandai to really push it to be alternative to the military games
I've played both closed beta and the present open beta. They were at least able to fix server issues that plagued CBT so I was able to play to my heart's content. My present impression is that there's just something missing from this game. I love the mech, I love the waifu (I spent a good deal of time customizing her after all which was not available in the CBT), but the repetitive grind is just that a mechanically repetitive grind. There's not much else happening in the world apart from the random bandit encounters and getting one-shotted by the top dog bounty if you happen to bump into each other at the next corner. I know this is still Open Beta, but as I see it Open Beta is supposed to get you hyped for the official release and this is just not doing it. Open Beta is the last step to full release so the build should be more or less done and just need some more testing and tweaking. They're not saying what else is coming on release so I don't really know if I wanna spend the money they're asking for considering this will be an online-only game with a very uncertain lifespan on account of lack of hype, a mediocre anime, and completely new IP. It's not generating the same kind of buzz like an upcoming IP such as Mecha Break is making. Seriously I don't have a clue as to Bamco's future plans for this game which makes me very skeptical if it's worth shelling out for. In comparison, when I played the CBT of Girls' Frontline 2 Exilium, I was totally hyped for the full launch. It's a free to play gacha but I was already willing to spend on it because they delivered well on the content and the gameplay. It did its job as a Beta Test to find the last few things to fix while more or less delivering an already completed build. I know they're completely different genres but I'm looking at this from the experience of playing Beta versions of both games and how the experience gave me confidence that the final product would be worth my time and money.
I didn't get a chance to get in the beta. Tbh I randomly found it on steam and it piqued my interest. I always have faith in games to do good. I don't know the plans bandai has or what possibly they could be looking for with the sales on this game. I need to play mecha break I've been hearing great things about this game. If anything I might play that and voice my thoughts on it. I been seeing a couple comments on this video alone about mecha break
I downloaded Girls Frontline 2 and need to cover that too I just need to catch up on the content I want to do for the channel because there's a lot of games I want to stream and make multiple videos for
It has potential for an off game when I grow bored of Tarkov or the realm of realistic style shooters. I just hope they don't go the route of charging extras for in game items and make it P2W.
I got bored of the super realism based games except for stalker 2 I really enjoy that but it is something different. If bandai don't shoot themselves with this it could be great alternatives to people who are new to the genre
@@ChaoticInc Yeah it looks like it has a pretty low threshold on skill which isn't a bad thing. Not every game needs to be highly complex. Some days I don't want to spend 25 minutes trying to modify a freaking gun to balance stats. I am looking forward to goofing around on it. I know I'm waiting for Forever Winter to get better because I love grimdark stuff. I just hope they don't get all microtransaction heavy but it is Bandai so I won't hold my breath hahaha.
Hmm thank you for the critique. I have a shur mv7x with the pop filter that already comes on the mic. Apparently this is a microphone issue or maybe my Audi interface I've done a lot of fixing etc. through audacity / OBS seems to be no fix for me I might just have to buy new equipment. The many UA-cam guides later to help me fix audio lol 😂
@@ChaoticInc oh dang yeah probably the mic, once you get that worked out you viewer retention should go up a lot, sounds a big part of making good videos, and if your sound is not good it doesn’t matter what you say because people probably won’t listen
Hell yeah! Like I been actively fixing this issue for almost a year now and every time I think I got a fix something else happens. I think I might have an issue with the mv7x
I love mech stuff but I don't like extraction shooters. I much prefer more western style mech stuff to anime style so the combo of anime and extraction shooter is gonna be a no for me, despite how much I like big stompy robutts
I fucking HATE extraction shooters...but I do love me some mechs, and as long as TTK isn't under .0005 seconds--as it damn well SHOULD be if it's giant walking tanks beating on each other--this actually sounds pretty dope. The whole "rain" concept is absolutely stupid, though. Who the hell builds a mech that's number one enemy is RUST?
That's what turned me off from tarkov like instantly dying like dawg I just got off work I'm not trying to be this sweaty lmao. I think the rain concept is like a control type of situation another way to waste your resources or be prepared for something I abused the hell out of the ultimate from my magus which allows me to have a force field. I think it's just another element to make fights a bit harder
That's interesting I didn't know community of mechas didn't like extraction shooters. This game gives me the vibe of armored core with the mix of extraction
@ the only thing they have in common is mechs, but the movement and combat is completely different but it’s hard to know because most people don’t play mech games because there’s honestly not a whole lot of variety right now, and yeah Mecha lover hate losing all items on death plus customization is garb
Yeah losing all items is what made me hate tarkov because in that game it gets super sweaty lol so this being a light version of that should be fine. I definitely understand where your coming from
40$ not worth it, no one plays vigor, hunt showdown… not paying full price to play with only a few hundred players and no I don’t want to play with bots
I mean that is fair it's definitely something different from the giant of tarkov which is like 50 or 60 bucks base game and well over 100 bucks just to get the good stuff. (I have many friends who play tarkov religiously) I own the base game. It's definitely something different

This looks interesting. Not being able to switch view to left side is a dealbreaker for me though.
You can press down on the d-pab to switch view

@ParrishT3 the threshold is super low and I feel you so much like I don't want to get off work and come home to get my shit wrecked for an hour lmao
homie there is so much mic pop in the video, you got edit the soundbyte so it doesnt makes peoples ears bleed, get a hole lot more views that way!

Game looks neat, but will probably be dead fast as usual with anime online games.
We have hope and faith 🙏🏾😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂
Its got mecha and waifus. What more could you want?
It's all we want at this point lol
for game that repects my time. this is meh.......
most mecha enjoys do not like extraction shooter, just not a good mix.

I'll definitely give it a look I played some Gundam games in the past but not extensively
