So, not necessarily a first reaction but not heard for many years and never seen these guys perform in the studio or on video.

As a retired entertainer, I had the privilege of supporting Paul DaVinci not once but twice. He was the voice behind the high falsetto that was lipsynced to the lead singer in the band. I vividly recall Paul DaVinci mentioning the substantial amount of money he received for this (a lot, indeed). It's been around 40 years, and I often find myself reminiscing about those times. I hope he's still doing well.

Exactly as you say, it evokes a feeling or the Four Seasons, but also Doo Wap from the late 50s...early 60's, which was where they originated from. A great nostalgic-like record.

I never was a fan of the Rubettes. But their song "Under One Roof" hits me hard. And I´m hetero.

There were the coolest on stage band back in the day era of the 70s. Not the best but had a cool vibe. Good tune one of those that takes yer back to childhood days

Reminds me of some of the awful 70s pap that was about...doo wap music based on the 50s U.S bands.same with Showaddywaddy...it wasn't drastically awful but just not my taste back then...I was more of an alice cooper fan and found more interesting stuff in my mums record collection like deep purple, floyd,
    T rex etc 👍
