Thanks. The only problem with the plasti dip was I had to do several coats. I was getting some pin holes. Back of the tank took 2 cans but it turned out well, once I had enough coats. Thanks for watching.
Nice work Phil. I have the same ATO setup on my main display. Give the probes a wipe every once in a while and it will give you great service. I liked seeing the shelf of crap we all have lol
Thanks Dave. I was unsure of the ATO but for 36 dollars I could not pass up the deal. Pat also highly recommended the IM Hydrofill. Thanks for the tip on the probe ends. LOL the shelf of crap. My wife told me to clear the shelf before shooting the vid. I said, " everyone in reefing has a shelf like this" lol
Love the frag tank Phil! You’ve done a great job reusing equipment. Looks like a great place for all the frags to hang out before they fly out to my tank! 😂🤔
Ha Ha Jonas. I don't know the first thing about shipping corals. I'm sure its not all that hard. I'm really liking that I was able to do the setup on the cheap.
@reefkpr I have a question for you... I’m building the same build.. and I have the same overflow box.. would you recommend drilling from the inside out or outside in.. I feel that if I drill from the outside of the tank the overflow box would be to low... thanks in advice
im currently putting together a 40 breeder after seeing your video, i have a question about the return plumbing, did you use a slip x slip bulkhead or thread x slip bulkhead?
Hi Jodi. The AIO are really nice but yes very expensive! This build was really simple. I know it can seem overwhelming but there are tons of video tutorials on everything I did, from plumbing to drilling a tank. If you're not comfortable drilling, a glass shop or LFS can drill for you. If you decide to go DIY I can help along the way with any questions you may have.
Really nice Phil the look of that plastic dip rocks.
Thanks. The only problem with the plasti dip was I had to do several coats. I was getting some pin holes. Back of the tank took 2 cans but it turned out well, once I had enough coats. Thanks for watching.
Looks awesome sir!!! Keeping some of that old equipment paid off!
Thanks Pelphrey. It sure did pay off to have all the old equip. Didn't cost me much to setup this tank.

Great choice of adding the Springeri damsels. Great maintenance fish.
Thanks Wayne. I'm only adding working fish to this frag tank. Sixline wrasse and Algae Blenny added since this video.

Looks really clean Phil! Nice work!
Thank you. It was a fun tank to put together on the cheap.

Very clean setup. Love the plumbing color
Thanks Arie. Blue is my favorite color. Wanted to keep the main display without frag racks everywhere. Had most of the stuff so I did it on the cheap.
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 looks super nice.
Thanks for stopping by iReef. Can't wait to see your build.
Reefkpr I did upload my new build last-night
I'll check it out. For some reason I was unsubbed. Damn UA-cam. Just re subbed. will check it out
That's how you build a $1/gallon 40 breeder. Good job.
Thanks Tony. It was a fun little build and pretty easy since I had most of the equipment from prior builds.
Sweet setup Phil! 👍👍
Thanks Mike! Wanted to get the frag racks out of the main displays. This should work out perfect.
Looking good Phill! About done with my newest build as well
Thanks John. Lets get that build done. I've been hearing that for a long time. I wanna see it!
So far so good. I’ll be following the progression 👍
Thanks Ktown. Hopefully I'll have a bunch of coral in it soon. Want all the frag racks out of the main display.
Looks great Phil can’t wait to see her full of frags 🤑
Thanks Paul. Few more weeks and I'll have a few frags in her.
PHIL, THAT SETUP CAME OUT GREAT! REAL SLEEK AND CLEAN. GREAT VIDEO. WHAT KIND OF T5 FIXTURE IS THAT.
Thanks SC. Its an ATI 6 bulb sunpower fixture
Awesome Phil 👌🏻
Thanks Lisa
Looks great!!!
Very cool stuff my dude.
Thanks Jessmosis.
im currently putting together a 40 breeder after seeing your video, i have a question about the return plumbing, did you use a slip x slip bulkhead or thread x slip bulkhead?
Awesome. 40 br is a nice footprint. For the return I used a slip, thread. Installed a threaded locline fitting. 👍
varry nice
I got goosebumps when I saw the t5s lol 👍 is it a 4 or 6 bulb fixture?
LOL. T5 Power! I'm thinking about adding a single or maybe dual Reefbrite strip to the fixture.
Reefkpr how many bulb is the fixture?
6
Reefkpr 4 blue plus and 2 actinic for sure
Right now I have it configured with 4 blue plus, 1 coral plus and a purple plus. Thought about getting actinics. Never used them before
Luv the 40 brdr
Nice 😃
Thanks J. Appreciate you stopping by
Can u still get these from dollar gallon sales?
Yes but the 40 br and above are no longer included in the dollar per gallon. They are 50% off. Still a good deal.
where did you get the stand?
Petco...... www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imagitarium-brooklyn-metal-tank-stand-40-gallons?rrec=true
👍
Thanks for stopping by.
👀👀👀
I'm in the 40br club now. Hope my coral grows as well as yours does in the 40
It's too difficult to set up a tank like that... and I don't have a man.
I guess I'll better stick to a AIO tank, those very expensive ones :-(
