The absolutely loved, and own Army Of Darkness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and The Blob. I still need to see the other ones. I'd say some blu rays a horror fan should own are: Intruder 10 To Midnight Motel Hell Class Of 1984 The Mutilator No One Lives Curtains Thank you for another awesome video 👍👍👍👍👍
Another excellent video, your knowledge and ability to inspire enthusiasm is fantastic. And 👏👏👏 for not suggesting the same top selections everyone goes to, enough already with that stuff. Branch out and enjoy the field more. All are excellent selections, Changeling is one of my all time greats, I discovered it on HBO when I was a youngling back in the early 80s, one of the scariest things ever personally. My collection is dwindling, I'm a downsizer and don't have the room anymore. But I did just order The Hills Run Red along with my Friday the 13th Box set (a big dream come true there).
My top 5 must own horror/thriller blu-ray films in my collection are: 1. Black Christmas (Favourite Christmas movie all time!) 2. Audition (Best J-Horror movie) 3. Come and See (Best WW2 movie but the most real and visceral with horror/thriller elements) 4. My Bloody Valentine (Favourite Canadian Horror movie shot in Nova Scotia) 5. Idle Hands/Teen Wolf (Tie between my favourite go-to horror movies for repeat watch over the years)
I recently just started collecting blu-rays. After 20 plus years of collecting dvds. Hey don't hate but I only have 5 blu-rays so far. #1.When A Stranger Calls (1979) #2.Happy Birthday To Me (1980) #3.The New Kids (1985) #4.The Hateful Eight (2015) #5.Blockers (2018)
You should do a list of horror documentaries that you think are great if you haven't already! I have bought some Scream Factory blu rays just to watch some of the documentaries involved (its a great selling point)
Great list.. I have Army of Darkness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 and the blob all must own.. but how about.. the Thing, My Bloody Valentine, Night of the Living Dead.. must own !👍👍
Christian Does your copy of Army/Darkness have the V2 at the end of the serial number on disc 1 and 3? If it doesn't then those copies are slightly defective with a few seconds of missing footage. SF is still giving out replacement discs as I can confirm that since I recently got this 3rd party and had to get those replacement discs which I did get in the mail.
I manage to finally order the Friday the 13th Deluxe Boxset, but when I get enough money again I think I will go with getting the Blob remake first, due to how rare it is, and how I always wanted to see it. If I were to make a top 5 list, it would have to be based on different eras of horror movies. Since there are so many that I liked.
Thanks for the recommendations. I'm shocked that I still don't have Army of Darkness in my collection. I'd recommend Possession (1981) Mondo bluray, and Cemetery Man the bluray Diabolik released. Two pretty important blurays in my collection. I think every horror fan should own them.
You should get in contact with the UA-cam channel "dead meat" the guy james does a series called "what's your favorite scary movie" where he talks to people about their favorite scary movie.

I have the steel book of Army of Darkness. I think it has 3 different versions on it. I think the commentarys on the evil dead movies are great
