    Hi, very informative video btw.
    Just wondering if you know if you can export STL or OBJs from a 3D scanner and be able to scale inside revit to demonstrate what it would look like in a building that was made.

    that will be great if you also discussed how to modify or void cut the mesh in Revit too, as its important part of being a Revit-able model.

    • @TheRevitKid
      @TheRevitKid  Рік тому

      You can modify or void cut the mesh in Revit… you can do that in the authoring tool and just refresh it in Revit

      Hey@@TheRevitKid , thanks for the quick response! just found it became interesting, as current, I have point cloud model as built , I convert it as DXF(nest in generic family) into Revit, but soon, realize the DXF mesh can not modified in Revit, no idea how difficult convert the DXF into solid? thanks advanced!

    Amazing stream learned a lot of stuff. I was wondering, can I assign material to the obj file and use it as a family? I wanted to create a classical ornament in blender and use it in Revit as a family(concrete mold).

    Do you have any idea how the arquitree site convert to RFA yours models? So far, I think that they are better at this type of conversion, and they do it before Revit 2023. Thanks!

    Can Revit hollow out the model? Or is it better to do in Blender? I just want to have the outer shell of the model, but haven't found a way to do it effectively, and what program is simple and best to use.

    • @TheRevitKid

      You cannot do any editing of the mesh object in Revit… Its just an import. So, yes, Blender would work.

    Hello friend, excellent video, a consultation there will be a course where the export of blender or 3dmax to revit objects in high quality, and editable, it would be excellent if you make a step-by-step video of that topic of exporting objects to revit from blender and of 3dmax. if there is a course how much is the cost, thank you very much in advance
