My name is Chrome i have been living in a cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.
I now have a shop space to keep me busy through the winters here on Canada's westcoast. Went from Van Life to VAN LIFE + SHOP LIFE !!!!!! Come join this crazy van life journey of mine. HIT SUBSCRIBE, trust me its gonna be a WILD RIDE.

I have family that met in Alert Bay. An uncle was a fisherman and him and his wife settled in Sointulla. So thank you for going there so I can see it. Now I can visualize much better all the stories. You don't know what this means to me

Morning. If you find a flat rock, you can heat it and use it on your neck or back. They heat up really well and hold the heat a long time. Get a 1 or 2 large flat ones.

@@denisemckiver69 There are 2 islands Chrome shares his name with and wants to visit but if im not mistaken there is no ferry service to either island.
Or they can heat up the bed before crawling in at night

Awe, Chrome…you were giddy like a little kid at Christmas! I loved visiting the native small towns when I travelled to Alaska and then down via the ferry and car travel down the Al-Can highway. Didn’t get to see as much of BC, but my 2 favorite AK towns were Sitka and Ketchikan.

I’m indigenous. my aunt Mary taught school on one of those islands for most of her life. I’ve never been there so thanks for giving me a glimpse of her life. She passed on several years ago.

Chrome, head to Quadra and Cortez Island when you get a chance. Ferry from Campbell River to Quadra, then another from Quadra to Cortez. Another two great spots, from my stomping grounds.
