日本人は古来より、季節の移ろい、自然の一瞬の輝きを愛でてきました。その豊かな感性が生み出した日本の伝統色が、工芸品の中に息づいています。今回のテーマは「江戸象牙」 象の牙を材料に生まれる工芸品です。アイボリーとも呼ばれる象牙色の温かな乳白の色合いが、落ち着いた高級感を演出します。

動画をちゃんと見てない人が多いみたいですが、ワシントン条約以前に流通していた、環境省から登録された象牙を使っていると動画内で言っていますよ
昔獲ってしまっても、もう戻せるものではないですし、せめて無駄にせず綺麗に加工してあげて、また次の世代に長く使ってもらうのが最適だと思います

象牙って確かワシントン条約で取引が禁止されてるから入手困難でだいぶ貴重品ですよね

あの硬い、象牙が、まるで、粘土を捏ねたような、柔らかく、見えました。
命が奪われて芸術とかないです。食物連鎖もないよな、涙が出ますよ、もし、自分の家族が象やって命を奪われたら、人間は何て勝手な生き物なんだろうか、人をキズつけるだけでなく、命を脅かす存在って悲しい。

Max , thanks a lot for this comment . I couldn't agree more. This is absolutely disgusting to present ivory as anything acceptable in 2018 .
I am a veterinarian and ethologist for wild life and i have worked in Africa and India where i have had to end the suffering of elephants but shooting them in the head after they were left agonizing . I have also shot poachers and could easily shoot those artisans and the people who buy their products .
