I wouldn’t stop my child backpacking but I would absolutely do my best to make them aware of the common dangers that exist in other parts of the world. I know it’s easy to let your inhibitions go when you’re travelling but awareness is vital.

We just forget all the dangerous stuff at home and the deaths caused be drugs , fights etc etc and then we pin point kids expecting to go away wanting exactly what they get at home ...life is tough at home and away , lets be real about this .

@@paigetaylor5226 they aren't dumb and when they do go abroad they go with family. It's THAT simple. They appreciate being looked after, so many girls and women just left in the western world to do as they please and they end up dead. My babies are ALWAYS with a male if abroad.
