As I am swapping tires for an upcoming bikepacking trip, I thought it was a good time to review the Gravel king SK tires I have been using for just about a year.

The review I was looking for 👏🏾
Thanks for the review! If only this was sold to us at a lower price than where it's at but it's around $100 for a pair which is already pretty expensive in my side of the world.
thanx!
im getting my gravelking tomorrow from Amazon for $41 each.nice review..soo excited for my tire
Nice!! New tire day is always a good day =)
Thanks
You’ll enjoy them I ran mine tubeless no puncture never had to stop once.
Just switched to bonte GR1 team issue, tubeless again I don’t go back to tubes too unreliable.
Just subscribed great review .
Awesome thanks for the sub!
hi - need some help to select the right gravel tire. I currently have the Bontrager GR2 Team Issue Gravel Tire (700c 40mm) - but get flats all the time (even when i ride on the normal street - 1 week riding - flat - 4 flats on the back tire, 1 flat on the front tire in the last 4 weeks). I got the Tannus Armour Tire Inserts - but that doesnt fix the flat problem. Can you recomment me another gravel tire? which one has the best quality and prevents flats Vittoria, Continental or WTB or something else? My terrain: Road and also some Offroad (forrest with gravel and fine sand). I would say 60% road, 40% offroad.
I have a Trek Dual Sport 3 2020 with these rims: Bontrager Tubeless Ready Disc, 32-hole, presta valve. (700c)
Can you also recommend a small upgrade on the rims (also with TLR)?
PSI defend on how wide your rim was👍
Hey there, it was a while ago that you did this review, but can you remember if the tyres made a noise on the road like you get from MTB tyres, or more like road tyres.
Hey John, you will get a bit of vibration with these as well but not nearly as much as with the Nanos. These are very road friendly.
@@MaverickTube Thanks for the feedback
Does your rim 20mm external width?
If I remember correctly it was 21mm external width, unfortunately I don't have that wheelset anymore so I can't verify =)
Does 32mm width rims is compatible to 700x38c gravelking tire?
what is your inner width?
@@MaverickTube the inner width is 27mm. And the outer width is 32mm. Panaracer GK SS 700x38c does it fit in?
@@jay-markdigo2543 for a 27mm rim I would go with a tire 40c + I would look at the GK SK 43C. You might have no problems with the 38C but not recommended.
@@MaverickTube sounds cool mate! Thanks for that info very much appreciated!
@@MaverickTube btw what will be the problem for the 38c?
What's the psi when u use with tubes?
If I remember correctly I was running them at 40 psi on gravel and 60 on roads.
60
why are you whispering tho?
Because it was one of my first videos and getting used to talking to a camera is something that gets practiced.
@@MaverickTube sorry for the rude comment. You have my respect. Keep doing good content.
