To me they are already winners, because they put themselves out there. My second son measured victory in the hundredths of a second in his 400m. My third the same in his 300m hurtles. My youngest still competes both in high jump, the 400m and 400m relay. Well Done Ladies. Accept only the criticism of your peers. If they've never been in "your shoes" smile and walk away. I ran the 200m, 400m, and 1600m relay. The meets were fun. In the end, you're all only competing with your last jump or last race. Heads high Ladies. You EARNED it.
I love 169 , she did clear all her jumps except the penultimate and the last jump , in the first attempt itself . 216 ,215 ,245 and 38 have the ability to excel really well in this sport . Excellent way of nurturing talents .
they are just kids at this stage. it’s better for them to compete in sport rather than a contrived battlefield old heads invent and posture destroying the innocence of these kids and negating our common humanity. we can still enjoy the competition and fraternity of athletes - let’s not lose all sense of civility.
So great to see these young athletic girls competing, practice is hard work and to some they might think its too extreme or they dont have time some days. But for those that give their all, I hope to see you on the world stage some day, and you are receiving that Olympic Gold!! Good luck girls!!

This reminds of Yaroslava Mahuchikh, 19, recently bronze olympic medal, but just five years ago she was just like these girls, and I'd say she experienced a *spectacular* growth in such a short time. Goes to show how much drive and talent some of these youngsters can have.
