So to go back Larry Hoover was apart of a gang called supreme gangsters, David Barksdale was apart and leader of the Devil's Disciples later becoming Black Disciples, Larry and David merged to create BGD, or Black Gangster Disciples. After he died there was a disagreement about who should be the Next King. I first learned about BDs from my older cousin from the Chi when he migrated down here. Us being from Memphis never knew what it was all we knew was GDs but we always asked what was the difference & he’d just say “We just not GD.”
